Thanks for the welcome. I love my new Pentax Kr. I have had it with Nikon and Canon. They are great Cameras but the "Little engine that could" was always my favorite childhood story. That's why I bought the Pentax. They continually put out top quality camera's and glass without the recognition and sales that they deserve. Pentax has always been just as good if not better than the others. I was sold on the K-7. Wow what a nice bullet proof , weather proof every feature you want package. I am sorry to say that the biased reviews actually froze me from snapping up a great camera. When the Kr was announced I wasn't going to go down looking again. I have it in my hand and love it. I may miss the the all weather features of the K-7 but will compare photos with any competing nikon/canon camera's out there. I did buy a Sony 16 gig sdhc card from walmart for 47.00 and it seems to perform fine as a level 4 card. It predicts at jpeg at around 2300 photo's. I wish the DSLR batteries could match that. Not a negative comment but wouldn't it be nice.
