As a recent Amateur to Professional I am falling directly into this bracket.
Also as an out of work Product Designer I also toyed with the idea of developing a concept myself, so I could send into Pentax in Japan. To Show that as a 20 year Pentax user it would be great to see such a camera in the range.....Finally!
It would also be a tragedy for me to do exactly what you mentioned, and have to sell off all my old (and new) equipment to invest in Full-frame "Professional" equipment. Whatever it maybe. (Canon/Nikon)
Please let me know how it goes.
Any help needed I will spare what time I have!:)
Shaken.

I am here to find out if there is any way to improve this already great lens by reducung or even illimating the annoying purple fringing at high contrast at under f5.6 with any kind of filter..
The lens is actually my favourite and I take it everywhere I can but this minor problem seems to be sometimes something I forget and it ends up really harming the quality of some wildlife shots
ANY IDEAS PEOPLE?
Cheers.

This competition couldn't have come at a better time.
I have been working away in my Basement (30sqm) building a small studio space and was hoping to get the instant review setup on my laptop or monitor. With the wireless tethering it will be possible to do this now so much easier with less cables to trip over, giving me much more freedom to get around my subjects/models.
I can also take my Laptop out to my favourite location now without having to plugin, making my life much easier. Less likely to get any dust or grit in the camera now, because it simply doesn't need to be opened anymore every 2/3 hours to review my shots.
Fingers Crossed!

Thanks all. tried the different edial functions and they have helped for the short term. Need to look at repair tho for teh front dial. Does 140€ sound too much. Got a quote from a reputable camera repair shop here in Vienna. As I bought mine on ebay.

I have had my K-7 for 6 months now bought on eBay from th US. Have been very happy with it but over the last couple of months the from shutter wheel has slowly started to become dis-functional in the scrolling back function for everything.
This is quite an importent function although ways around using it they slow my shooting of football/Wildlife down considerably.
My questions are:
a) is it a common defect?
b) is an expensive one to repair. (Sending it to Pentax/Hamburg)
Thanks

Hallo all,
I am new to the site and first of all would like to introduce myself.
I am new to Photography compared to most here probably but have been posessed for the last 12 months and Pentax was always my Camera of choice as a young Student doing B&W phptography. I use a K-7 (since 3 weeks) before a K-10D and intend now to keep the both for diffent types of Photography...
Anyway
OK my problem is following.
MY flash AF 360GZ has since today decided to stop zooming. I have tested the button and iworks fine so something inside is either stuck or broken.
Any ideas
Thanks
Gary:)
