steve, film advance will work,mirror is not up,when you look through the veiwfinder you see the numbers at the bottom(batteries in) the film advance works great as it keeps cocking but the shutter will not fire.no matter how many times you use the film advance lever(by cocking it) the shutter will not fire. thanks michael

bought a pentax super program ,everything works great except the shutter will not fire,has new batteries, film advance lever works ,even meter works,i can see it through the veiwfinder.thanks michael

Just bought a pentax super program,everything seems to work except the shutter button will not fire.Batteries are brand new,lens is a MC AUTO ZOOM CPC PHASE 2 CCT 35-70MM MACRO 1:4,I HAVE READ ALL BOOKS AND MANUALS AND STILL CAN'T GET IT TO FIRE.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS MICHAEL
