Hi, I'm looking for faster lenses, as I tend to find myself in situations where my f/2.8 lenses just doesn't make it. I've got the Pentax 40mm f/2.8 pancake, and the Tamron 90mm f/2.8. What are my options say around f/1.4 to 2.8? I use the Pentax K-3 by the way.

Thank you guys.
Here's another shot from yesterdays shoot. I placed a flash with a small beauty dish in front of the model, but turned it 90 degrees and made a small gap (2-3 mm) between the flash unit and the dish to let a strip of light hit her face. Shame about her elbow being a huge dark blob, but I didn't notice it until after the shoot.

Shutter speed is really 160, and aperture f/25, but those settings are not available in the drop down menus.
I was trying out the technique where you shoot on an overcast, or even sunny day, and still get a black background, and Solveig helped me out by modelling for me. I almost succeeded too, as you can just barely see the window on the building behind her.

I just upgraded to the K-3 from the K20D, and one of the features I really wanted to try was making a time lapse. Unfortunately, I couldn't leave my home today, so I had to place the camera on a tripod on my veranda, so I'm sorry if the view isn't very interesting. The clouds are kind of cool though.
I did the full 2000 photos with 2 seconds between them in aperture mode. Any hints or tips on how to make this better are much appreciated.

Started testing the time lapse function yesterday. Had no problems when I did only a couple of hundred frames, but today I've had the mirror flapping approximately 40 minutes into a 2000 frames every 2 seconds shoot. Twice.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Those images are really only placeholders, and will be removed once I get some new and better photos to post at the site. I just didn't want to have a blank page when I started over with the site :)

Today I have revamped my homepage, as I intend to use it more as a portfolio, and less as a blog. I found a theme for Wordpress that I personaly think work well, but I wonder if you guys also think so, or if it's only me. Any input is good, except flames of course.

I'm a 35 year old pentaxian from Trondheim, Norway, and I upgraded from the K1000 to the K20D three years ago. Then I decided I want to be able to quit my day-job, and live from photography. I have come to the time when I feel confident with my skills now, and have decided to work one day less every week, and spend the last day in the studio. This is a bit scary, but if I manage, I'll work 50/50 from next summer, and perhaps 100% photography a year after that.
Anyway, I don't understand why I haven't joined this forum until now. It's a great way to learn more about Pentax, and to chat, learn, and compare with you other Pentaxians out there.
