This scene could be the start of a great story. Love it.

Phil, very nice samples of what seems the strengths of this film: high contrast scenes and a lot of light. I'm heading to the shops to get me some. My dev on hand will be Tmax dev 1:4. Thanks for posting.

The old Zeiss made things right.
The grounded cargo ship makes me curious. Any story available on that one?

I'm setting my hopes on the upraising of Ferrania's E-6 production. P30 will be the wheelbarrow for that.
TomB, I hope P30 can be a nice alternative for b&w and results turn out well for you. Please show us some pics in this or the b&w film thread.
I was happy to see Rollei (Maco) getting E-6 Vario Chrome on the market but it appears a bit of a bummer. Low contrast, muted 70ies colors and quick burning of the highlights was one of the verdicts I read on the net. I don't mind that if I know such things in front. And E-6 is never forgiving for highlights if you meter for the shadows, low dynamic range is normal for sure.
Rollei once brought old (Agfa) CR200 E-6 stock on the market which resulted in many rolls for me with orange to almost red pics when shot on EI200. We certainly are in need of a real Fuji E-6 competitor. Although I don't think anyone can make the same sort of magical film like Fuji's Provia 400X. So high hopes on Kodak when they will reintroduce Ektachrome.

Great photo, this orange filter lifts it up to higher level. Very nice.

I came back to this picture for 5 or 6 times now and everytime I look at it it's becoming more and more a classic... Superb!

I'm sorry for your loss. But what a great picture to honour them. If big K would investigate how to get Kodachrome look back in another film,... if ever possible.

Nice shots. I like some dynamic pics in this mostly static thread.
My outmost respect for shooting moving subjects with a M200f4, which I own myself.
Prefocussing with a small aperture and then pushing the shutter when the subject comes in the zone?

Nice Mr Bias is featured on the great sunny16 podcast. He tells a great inside story on how Ferrania is struggling to come back to us filmshooters with E6 film: 'Sunny 16' van Ade and Graeme in iTunes |

fujichrome 100 + SP 60-300mm f/3.8-5.4. on manual focus. Compare this to the current high iso madness and I only can say you are a very good photog!

Another failing MZ, that's bad. The low quality of the mz series is one of the reasons I didn't replace my AF Nikons with some MZ-3 bodies and AF lenses. I would if the plastic parts where more reliable in order to have my Pentax family complete: P67 for medium format, program A for MF 35mm and some MZ-3 for AF 35mm was my plan.

Superb historical serie. It prooves this thread is for me one of the most relevant ones on the forums: the historical role of photography as the memory of the 19th, 20th and ongoing and coming centuries can be retraced by these superb snaps. I just love it.
