I'm repeating my lost (because of server problems, as I understood) post:
Hi all,
I bought “Pentax Optio E50” less than two years ago. After one year of work I found fault – photos done with daylight are all overlighted (like horizontal white stripes). Such effect is visible only at final picture, before push the button the picture on display is nice. With electric light all is OK, video is OK too. I sent camera to “Pentax” service centre, but they asked me about “Pentax” warranty coupon (in Russia official “Pentax” warranty is two years). I didn’t find this document in “Pentax” packing box (only receipt and invoice were there). When I explained where I bought this camera, they said “Yes, we know about it, this shop used illegal customs schemes, so because of this you haven’t warranty coupon”. I read invoice and found address of warranty service centre of that shop, but currently the shop is bankrupt, so neither shop nor service centre doesn’t work. I asked “Pentax” service centre about charge of this repair. After several weeks of research they answered me that price of this work is equal to price of camera. I took camera from service centre without any repair. Has anybody met such situation?
