These prices surprise me considering I bought one of the first K5's in the country from Vanbar for $1495.00 and yes it did have stains and was replaced.

Yes t-dimension are very good u get 2yr warranty with postage paid both ways. I have used there warranty before faster than my return of K5 to cr kennedy and that cost me $35 .00 insured postage to them they also have the best price on 31ltd lens with 8 yr warranty

They also give a 2yr warranty and pay postage door to door both ways I have used there warranty and it was better in terms of time than dealing locally half the time and double the warranty. I also live in a remote area.

I have taken shots standing on rocks in the surf to get shots covered in salt spray and just rinsed the camera and lens 50-135 under the tap and its fine. I now have a sigma 150-500 so I dont need to get wet any more. lol

I have been reading this thread with interest, I have just bought a rode stereo mic to record our local open mic sessions and some surfing footage. All of this I want to do in high definition. Two things I need to be sure of can I record 4 gigs stop for a minute or so then record an other 4 gigs. I have an 8 gig Sandisc extreme 30ms and A 2 gig one as well, would a 32 gig class 10 Sandisc be my best option for recording video?

Just bought a rode stereo mic from America I live in Australia where they are made but it is cheaper for me to buy from USA or England including postage. wtf ?

Well Adrian I dont need to see B&h's books to know 9th ave real estate rents are not cheap same goes for Adorama too. Your whole argument sounds like you have interests in a bricks and Mortar shop front. Bit like Gerry Harveys argument about saving Australian jobs when he clearly did not care who he walked on setting his empire up , what about the jobs he took away?

So what do you do for a living I have worked for myself all my life and yes there is price gouging here. Example rode stereo mic made here in Australia can be bought cheaper from the states, or England and yes that does include postage. So tell me how that can be?

I have had My K5 replaced and got an earlier serial number which was refurbished with new build date I know this as the serial was already on the forums data base it has been removede now and my name ins on the serial number now.As far as it being refurbished I think you can say it will be better inspected than one straight of the production line, check data base and see if your number is on here

I use the sigma 150-500 and have taken good surf shots on overcast days hand held at 500 standing balanced on rock out crop in the sea the higher iso of the k5 gave a better shutter speed.

Thats why I feel t-dimension are good Value they pay for shipping both ways and give a 2yr warranty, some of there lens carry 8yr warranty
