I had this happen on my K200D. I sent in in under an extended warranty and they had to replace the main board.

I currently have a Vivitar 728 zoom flash unit that I used with my ZX-7 QD. I also have a K200D and am looking to get en external flash unit for it also. Is there 1 flash unit that would work on both? I have been looking at both Metz and Vivitar.

I have a K200D that does not recognize the battery grip anymore. When I first started uing the grip it worked fine but then started causing the camera to lock-up and the only way I could get the camera to work again was to remove the batteries and memory card. The batteries in the grip did not show up in the selection menu. I sent the body in under an extended warranty and they had to replace the main power board. After I got the camera back it did not lock up anymore but it still did not recognize the grip. Any suggestions?
