Just wanted to pop in here and say thanks for those that did the update process with the K100D, I fished mines out of cold storage today to convert a 50-135mm I just bought from MPB this week with a dead sdm (They had it reduced in price due to this) to screwdrive, and now it works a treat on my K-3 focusing away nicely :)

As daft as this may sound, But on the indoor receptions i've shot at, out of the lenses I use, as in the 35mm f2.4, 100mm f2.8 and the 18-250, I always seem to get better, must have/keep shots with the 18-250 then the prime lenses.
Now I am not sure why that is, might be the zoom range framing the shot the way I want better but it always ends up pulling the surprises when I use that lens.

I'm sitting at 3 1/2 weeks on awaiting the fate of an image I posted. Seems almost as if they are getting more submissions then expected again. Either that or less help in the voting process.
Also as a heads up, Something within PPG has a memory hole in it's design. After being logged in for a couple of hours the brower was using up 1gb of memory on its own.
That was with IE9 at the time but I was able to replicate a similar result within FF7.

I've just moved from the K100D to the K7 and first off, im blown away over how the body works, don't think words can discribe the improvements, just a pure joy to shoot with.
But, one thing im finding will take a bit of adjustment is the images that come from it, they have quite a different tone to that of the K100D's sensor, if anything they seem too viberate on the greens, have noticed that on Brite, Natural and viberent settings.
I am shooting jpeg I must admit, didnt realise 4gb memcards would be filled so quickly by a sensor so large, so have not really had a chance to try it with raw.
When it comes to jpeg shooting, what are the preferences for that ?

Would be helpful, since I just got a brandnew K-7 from a UK retailer and still trying to understand it after a transition from a K100D.
K-7 section would be very helpful considering there are a fair number of them still in retail sales :)

Interesting reading on this thread.
I just got a K-7 two days ago (Dixons UK having reduced them by 20% convinced me) and have only done a small test on the local beach with it.
Am taking it to the zoo tomorrow though to see how it performs.
I have my baseline with the K100D at the same location so know what I have managed previously.

Noticed this for a while on my K100D, infact on flickr, at least after editing via acdsee, I get the largest amount of exif data going, it appears to extract everything the camera has, even if it refers to details of no relevence :o

So the 4 way control doesnt allow adjustment of the AF point selection ?
As that is something I use a fair bit on my K100D.

This is something that I have been trying to decide for myself over which route to go from my K100D.
I did rule out the K10D over its noise issue and limited to 1600 iso, but I have always wondered how the K20D/K-7 compared to the K100D for noise at same ISO (when the images are resized to match)

On a bit of a sidenote regarding comparisons, has anyone made the move from a K100D to the K7 and if they did, how did they find the transition regarding the images and iso noise?
Since afair the K100D performed better then the K10D did for noise at high ISO.

I always thought of the K200D as an updated K100D with the K10D's Sensor and added weather sealing. In reality would people say thats how it was, or is there more to it then that ? :)

I shot a wedding with the 360 and while it done rather well, I did feel like I needed the swivel for portraits, could have made a difference I felt. But for the price I got it for (Dixons uk had them at 60% discount) it was silly to not get one and overall it did save the wedding shots.

Hey all
Have just recently recieved a 360FGZ which has been working as to be expected but checking it over today I have spotted it is now stuck in manual zoom mode, and it will not respond to the zoom button at all.
If I have read right from a couple of entires here, this is a fault on the unit?
Or is there some form of reset I can do to get this working ?
edit:
Well I think I made a bit of a school boy error. I had put the wide angle deflector down to protect the main flash screen for traval and had forgotten about it. Put that back into stowed position and all is working again.
Shall chalk that one up to experence I guess
