You're probably better off searching for used camera's on pentaxforums in NL or BE
It's no guarantee but usually the stuff sold there isn't as bad as some on ''marktplaats'' can be.
Another plus is that prices are usually better compared to mp.

All those things you can do in pp, they do have some effect but if you want to shoot
very fast you'll need to turn them off...

Excuse me you buy a new camera and even in the shop it doesn't function properly?
Bring it back, demand a new (not repaired... takes 4 weeks here) since it was allready faulty when they sold it...

Doesn't everybody get the same warranty?
I mean the K7 is introduced in may 2009?
If everybody has the normal 2 year warranty there shouldn't be any k7 without warranty?
At least not for a few months?

No, it's in black and white. Even the digital one doesn't have colors in it.

Are you sure it's not working, or do you think it's not working because it doesn't ask for a focal length?
In case of the last, it might be working afterall, doesn't the k20d save settings for a given number of non af lenses?

I use a pentax k7 with a 8gb sandisk class 10 card.
But I don't know if pictures are transferred from the sd card or from the camera's buffer...
I don't think a card is that much slower maybe the k7 is faster with reading out the sensor?

Usb provides in theory 60MB/s transfer rate (or 480mbit) far more than a picture is.
On my laptop the picture appears almost instantly (4 year old dell laptop) so I would search for the lag problem somewhere else.
But if you use a usb 1.1 port there will be lag offcourse.

No it's normal since the k5 is out there's no point building k7's...
They make more money selling a k5 than a k7

Body's get replaced, not disposed. You see the number of people here still using
k10/k20 and some of them make nicer pictures than people with k-7/k-5
If you need the higher iso capability go for the kr. If not k7 is the way to go.
And yes I own it to, first dslr and I'm very happy with it. Offcourse it's not perfect but what is?

I think baby blue is a horrible color, especially for a camera ;-)
Get the white one!!!!!

They could, if they wanted to. There has to be something in the firmware to make
it work so pentax simply doesn't write any programs because they don't want to/costs to much?

I don't own a k-x but since the k-7 is kinda weatherproof and the k-x isn't I expect it to be heavier, but I do have a k-7 and I'm happy to say that I have no problems whatsoever with the weight...
And I'm just a skinny lightweight kind guy so...

Maybe you performed a factory reset?
If the default option is dust removal on and if you reset the dust removal will be ''on''
Can't imagine why it would be off though. It doesn't affect anything in a negative way does it?

Tried it on my k7, the upper lcd screen light keeps blinking ?
Apart from that it does shutter release but nothing more.
I hope he adds more functionality for the k7 and k5 soon!

Try an other sd card, if the problem remains there's no other option then send it back for repair...

Mine is 5 months old with 5000 shutter actions. I still consider it to be new...
I wouldn't buy one with more than 10.000 shutter actions since there are enough k7's out there

If you shoot in raw it's easy to make a duplicate with + 1ev...
When you make a -2 -1 0 +1 +2 through Pentax digital camera utility and then put
them together with eachother you'll get an hdr with only 1 real picture.
Maybe not as nice as a real hdr but you still get nice results
