If you want to improve your post processing why not check out some of the many free webinars which take place every week on the internet.
Some, like the ones run by Topaz Labs, or Capture One, will often have guest presenters, often professionals, who will show you how they
use that particular software, and Adobe also have regular ones for their products as well.
This can save a lot of time spent trying to work out how to make the best use of these programs by yourself, and many will offer attendees
useful discounts on their software for taking part. Webinars - Topaz Labs Blog |

Thank you so much for this article, I had just developed exactly the same problem with my 50-200WR lens, and have just carried out the mod you suggested and all is now working fine again, which is a great relief as this is one of my favourite lenses. I have no idea why the problem suddenly started, but when I was taking it apart I did notice that the carrier for the front group was quite loose and seemed to have been moving around on its own. As far as I can tell the WR version is identical to yours (at least on the bits that matter anyway). Thanks again Dave, your a star. - Alan.

I can't honestly remember now as it was over a year ago, I know I went through all the usual things like leaving the battery out for 30 minutes, but you may need to try all of these things to jog its memory. I suspect I would have left the reset whilst last, but would probably have left the lens off when I did it in case the contacts were playing up.

Had a similar problem with my K100Dsuper, I removed the lens and cleaned the contacts, and then went into the menu and clicked on 'reset', the autofocus started working normally again, and hasn't caused any problems since. I suspect there was some corruption in the software somewhere, possibly as a result of the dirty contacts. Good luck, I hope you manage to get it working without having to pay for servicing, I really thought mine was finished too, but the above seemed to work.
