Without debating the reviewer's assessment of the quality of the sensor or JHD's experiences leading him/her to return the camera so quickly, I have found the Q to be a joy to use and am very happy with the images it produces. Yeah, it's a small sensor. But it does amazing things with that small sensor. And yeah, you can hardly see the display in bright sun (sadly common with many cameras). So I use an external viewfinder in that situation. Overall, for the record, I'm a happy camper with my lil' Q. Just wishing Pentax would hurry up and release those lenses on their roadmap.

barondla, can you clarify something for me, please? Are you saying that dmort should "give the Q a chance?" Sorry, but I just want to make sure that I'm understanding what you're saying. :-)

I could write a long reply but would probably just end up repeating what ishpuini/Wim already posted above. Get a Q and you won't be disappointed.

Pat, that's a nice size comparison between the Q and K5D. But hardly fair since you did not bother to extend the Q's flash! :lol:

I have no idea whether Pentax will or won't futher/better market the Q going forward. But being a Q owner, I really do hope those lenses and adapter on the roadmap see the light of day. And hopefully sooner rather than later. Clearly I'm not adding any knowledge to this thread but, instead, am adding to the "tally count" of interested consumers in case anyone at Pentax is watching.

Having recently acquired a Pentax Q camera, I feel compelled to add my voice to those above in saying how very much I'm enjoying shooting with the lil' Q. Have had a K100D Super for a long time now, and have shot with other well known quality cameras, both film and digital, extensively but there's something about the Q that I love. Maybe it's a combination of "somethings." Size, degree of control, overall image quality, etc. All I can say is that I'm a happy camper with my Q.
