Anyone have a suggestion for finding replacement leather (strap) clip protectors for the K5? I somehow managed to lose one of mine in about a 5x4 foot space...

Also includes Quantaray UV filter, rubber lens hood, and Pentax D-BH109 battery cage (if you want to use AA batteries as well), and SanDisk 8gb (15mb/sec) Ultra SD card.
Everything works great! I have had absolutely zero problems with the K-r and really like it - only selling because I was given a K-5. I'm the original owner and have kept really good care of it. The number of actuations shows 5504.

hi, I have a lowepro slingshot 100aw that I really like, but am looking for something for my new k-5 that will allow me to store it with the 55-300mm lens attached. It works great, but I end up having to switch back to a smaller lens every time I store it in the bag.
Here's the one I have:
Lowepro - SlingShot 100 AW
It's great for walking around with (over the shoulder) and I like being able to swing it around to bring out the camera quickly, but ideally I would like to do this with the zoom attached! I looked at some of the other LowePro slingshots but it doesn't look like the other options would accommodate the zoom either.
Anyone have any recommendations?

I've had my k-r for a couple of weeks and love it. I'm a newbie to dslr, but just got back from a vacation and took about 1000 pictures and it's just been great.

Thanks for the suggestion filmamigo.
After removing divx encode and decode components (from HD/Library/QuickTime/) from djb21au's post, I was able to open the avi's successfully.

That's unfortunate about the avi codec being used by Pentax, as on my mac I've had the same experience of crashes when trying to use in most apps. I can convert each avi file to another format (mp4 preferably), but what a giant time killer.
I downloaded the above mentioned streamclip, but can also recommend handbrake for mac users: HandBrake
you can save presets and batch convert clips as well.

Thanks for all the help, I ended up buying (w/ 18-55 + 55-300) at Amazon because of the price+shipping time. Got it yesterday but was able to get a refund of the difference of the new 749 price. That's just a steal. Now I just need to learn how to use it!

Hi, Looking to pick up a k-r + 18-55 + 55-300mm lens combo and wondering if there are any recommendations for retailer (in case of return needed due to defect) and any deals after Thanksgiving anyone is aware of? (First Pentax buy since using my dad's passed down spotmatic from the 60's.) I don't want the experience of the guys in the forum that had a couple defects in a row, but of course want to pay as little as possible. Thanks-
