Thanks everyone for your interest (nice thing about this site). I was simply wondering why that particular model SLR was not listed when I looked it up in the database.

I got out of the US Navy in 1967. I bought a Honeywell Pentax camera body with a 50mm lens f1.2. I gave it to a niece and she has since misplaced it. I looked just like the Spotmatic F, but the date I owned it was 8 years at least before the F was released. Any idea how to sort this out?

All is good again. Before I saw the three above posts I re-formatted the sd card in the camera (as I had done previously), got rid of all current downloaded material and started over. Copied the bin file to the root drive, it showed up in the DCIM folder. I put the card back in the camera and vwala...it worked. I'm now updated to V. 170! Now, I just need to get my but out and shoot. Thank you all-your mental energy did the trick!!!

I did download the file again as well. Both cards seem to work well otherwise.

I get this error:

"The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “fwdc233b.bin” can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36)"

I have used two different formatted cards. The camera still operates on FW 160.

I'm not steady of hand. I got a quote from a kind of local Epson qualified repair center. The tech said the inks should all be fine. He knew the problem and said it was the black ink switch. $450.00. However, on further consideration the P700/900 seem to be attractive. 1.5 picoliters rather than 3.5 picoliters, thus less ink and finer application. Ink is pricier for 25ml at $38 per cassette rather than to 80ml at $80. But if it takes less per print....?

There seems to be a consensus: great printer, could nickel and dime me as the goes on, the replacement P700 should be a good choice. With the ability to print matte I have the time to sort this out. I also read that the repair might require a total ink recharge: $420.00+! Thanks all.

As I was mulling this over I revisited the paper line ups. I used to use Epson Cold Press Bright White; I remembered that it was lustre-NOT-it is a matte surface as well. Bingo? I'm not familiar with the Hahnemuhle paper. Do you know how they compare? I'm looking. Certainly would be a savings for awhile.
