i hit the lens release and af/mf switch together and now the screw moves normally. It mustve got jammed. Thanks a lot for all the help and quick replies.

just checked, it doesnt move, only when i click the lens release button, nothing with af/mf switch. So its the body then? Is there an easy fix?

i read that post, but my 18-55 works fine. Its just when the 55-300 is attached. I have a airshow on sep 30 and wanna know what i have to replace

I just tried my lens on my k100d and it doesnt manual focus anymore. When i put it on mf it still auto focuses, when i try to turn it, its like turning it on af. My 18-55 works fine. Funny thing is i just used this lens a month ago at a airshow. Any ideas? should i get a new lens, i need the manual focus cause i shoot a lot of airshows
