Regarding AF speed between kx and k5, I feel kx is a little bit faster than k5, especially in not too bright indoor environment. Does anyone share the same feeling?

Still waiting for my ordered K-01. Can anyone who has used k-01 tell me if its AF speed with new firmware update is not slower than k-5 PDAF? Hope its AF speed is faster than K-5s PDAF and CDAF.

Thanks. It looks like a inner ring you said. What's the function of inner ring? What will happen if without inner ring? I shot some test photos, although I didn't feel difference, I guess the ring is necessary otherwise Tamron doesn't place it there. Does anyone know?

I just bought a new Tamron zoom lens for pentax online. When I opened the box, the lens looked in good condition, but there was a coin size black ring slipped off when I opened the lens back cover. See the photos. When I checked the ring carefully, there was a tooth( a small tab) was broken on the edge of the ring.
Without this ring, my pentax kx works normal when the tamron lens mounted. At least I don't see anything wrong at first dozens shoots.
Can anyone tell me what this ring is? Is my lens good copy? thanks

The problem is FA 50 1.4 is not so good at wide open. But compared with my front focused Sigma 50mm, I would rather choose FA 50.

Here is one more. Focusing at double solid yellow lines on the road but shift front to curb area.

Maybe that picture is not enough to prove it. Here is another one. I focused on the top of third white fence pole. It was focused front a lot.

Actually my current copy of Sigma 50mm 1.4 gets FF issue not very serious within a range of 6 feet. It becomes worse beyond 6 feet. Anything 20 feet more is terrible. Does anyone experience this?

I have been shooting real things instead of those table charts. This photo is wide open focusing at a yellow sign aside of the white van in the center of the picture.
You can see the lens is wrongly focused very near front, missing dozens feet.:mad:

I have tried three Sigma 50mm F1.4 HSM lenses; none of them are good to me.
All three copies have serious front focus issue, especially at wide open. one copy has back focus issue at small aperture.
My question is how many copies you have tried before finally you are satisfied with Sigma?
