What program do you use for your stacking?
I've considered doing stacking and sometimes have the time, but I'm not sure on how to make the process so fine, so smooth, rather than just changing focus a little. How do you fine focus changes for 60 shots?
Well done with it... Always nice to see a macro with this DOF.

Thank you so much DSims, noelpolar and everyone!
I followed the instructions and gave it a hard twist in the right direction and it finally came loose.
All working functionally now!
I hope you all enjoy the F*300 very much. I certainly am, and now can use the hood too.

My Super Tak 50/1.4 has easily replaced my 18-200 as my standard lens. Hasn't come off the camera since June (except for extension tubes).
K20D makes a great combination with it. Limited (actually no) zoom range is nothing to worry about. Any prime user will make that clear.
For me, it's a bonus. Anyway, enjoy your manual lenses, everyone!

Recently, with research, I have seemed to have fallen for the idea of getting the F*300/4.5 . I would say that you keep it, it's over 200g lighter than the DA, isn't it? It's a great lens, and 'easy' handheld (for a 300).

I think this is an improvement to the system. Individual posts can be appreciated not only by the original reader, but by subsequent readers who can use the like system to find the good posts. This will ease the search in longer threads.
