A couple of months ago I purchased a Pentax 67 system that came with an old 6x7 body dedicated to a Polaroid NPC back mainly as a throw in. I got a bit excited and decided to start shooting Fuji Pack film for fun. Unfortunately the 6x7 body did not fire even when the battery check was lit with the red light.
I assumed the camera was broken and got rid of it for parts on Ebay but kept the NPC back.
A week ago I purchased another 6x7 body from KEH and have the same issues. I remember reading somewhere that the older bodies needed film in order to fire. Is that true? If true, how do you shoot with the Polaroid back?
Any help would be appreciate it!
Thanks!

The 67 300mm F/4 EDIF (test on Luminous Landscape) with a 1.4 X converter seems to be as good as the 400 F/4ED bare.

The 75 f/2.8 AL is even better than the 55 f/4. Simply an amazing lens for shooting environmental photos.
I got lucky recently and ended up with three of these rare gems. I kept the best one and sold the other two.

Hi Gary,
That is me. I'm mostly a people photographer and shoot short and medium lenses. I'm glad someone will get more use out of this great lens.
Thanks again!

The 645D is already "Cut Down" if you consider the lack of lenses available.

I'm considering selling my near mint Pentax 67 300 F/4 ED IF lens. I can not find any info about it's value. I checked Ebay, Craigslist, numerous photography forum, and can't find a single one for sale.
Any info would be appreciate it.
Thanks!

When I saw the headline for the apology from Pentax I assumed it was for the lack of lenses for the 645D:D

Anyone tested the Pentax 67 300mm F/4 EDIF on the 645D?
I have one and would love to know.
Thanks!

I did a non scientific comparison between the Microtec 120 TF and my Epson V700 scanning Kodak Tri-X (120) and found the Microtek to have much better shadow detail and and a little bit better resolution.
Liking my new scanner.

I'm a full time working photographer (editorial, commercial, and weddings) who recently purchased a Pentax 67 II system and plan on shooting film on personal and some jobs.
I mainly photograph people and plan on using Tri-X and Delta 3200 for my B&W work.
Is there a certain type developer that will work with the Kodak and Illford film or do I have to find developers more suited for each film?
Thanks!

I just picked up a mint one with all the holders, manuals, and software, for $200 and it works flawlessly.
I was originally looking for a Nikon 9000 to do mainly B&W negs with some Color negs from my Pentax 67 II but couldn't pass this up.
Can anyone tell me if the Nikon would give a better file or should I be happy with what I have?
Thanks!

There are so many out there. I have five Pentax 67 lenses but only interested in mounting my 300 F/4 EDIF on my Canon cameras.
Can anyone recommend a high quality adaptor?
Thanks!

I just picked up a mint condition Pentax 67 II a few weeks back. The camera's operation works flawlessly until the lcd panel info disappears and it dies.
When I take out the batteries, or replace them with new ones the camera works again but repeats the problem over and over again.
It there something I'm missing or could there be a short in the electronics?
Any good repair facilities (assuming I need it) in the Los Angeles area?
Thanks!
