I believe the "contradictory intel"on these lenses is usually due to how the photographer ultimately uses the images. How many times have I had a lens quality debate with my 24 inch epson prints in mind , only to find out later that the person I'm talking to sees his work published regularly in magazines. We literally don't see the same lenses the same way due to our output.

Photo not staged, lens was in large case and foam in case was rotting, it melts after a while (decades). There is some growth in the optics now and leaving the lens out without caps in a hot dry garage halted further damage.....
The lens has currently got a K mount on it after starting its life in the mid 80s as a cinema lens with custom mount.

-a better brighter OVF, sharp side to side like the lenses.....
-built in radio flash trigger and matching flash units
-400mm DFA SR f4.5
-manual exposure to 30 minutes instead of 30 seconds
-110mm DFA SR f2.4
-lose the green button.......

Handling to me means , weight , size, position of knobs and focus or zoom rings. Some lenses feel right in my hands and some are always awkward to work with..........

Well, Of course it hits the 67 75mm 2.8 AL, and not the 135 macro sitting right next to it...... So, I have about 25 lenses from Pentax and Canon locked up in a steel multi drawer tool chest in my home office. Been that way for twelve years . I use piles of desiccant packs , big 400 gram ones. Everything was fine when I bought new ones regularly , but recently I have been "drying" them out in the oven. Maybe back to new ones all the time. Basically Im looking for feedback and experience on how to improve my long term storage.
Best, 672

Just make sure to prep prep prep the gear for the chopper! I went onto tall things and shot tests (infinity changes as you tilt down) before my 645Z with 28-45mm shoot. No amount of greater stop will bring infinity back when all those floating glass elements are looking straight down, if that is what you are are shooting. I also made full sized prints of my tests. I was able to get infinity with AF adjust in the menus. This post applies the the 90mm also.

I sold mine after a while. It was greenish compared to the other P67 lenses. I still have the 55-100 and 75 2.8 AL.

the IS lenses make noise when you power up. try without a lens, I've never heard the bodies beep.

oh yeah that strut material would take some load for sure. I tried to make a bridge like support with ratchet straps and a short perpendicular pipe but it had to be from the bottom to flatten the main pipe, so was in the way of the camera and head......

thx texan!
the camera is on a Wimberly Gimbal version one.
the two angle poles stiffened the cross bar significantly
the cross pole was quite springy , esp in desert winds. perfect for 500th of a second (or greater) with IS on. I did one video reference with the 1DX2 hang and the rolling shutter was like jello in an earthquake......
the poles were aluminum 1 1/4" with steel sleeve connectors. each pole is six feet long.
if more rigidity was the objective I would have used one 30 foot length of steel pipe and a ten ton truck to bring it and more assistants , instead of one.. mobility was key.
the desert wind that day was around 11 MPH and the cross brace was fine, but we wrapped the set up well before the afternoon winds of 21MPH......

...it was a great flight and the 28-45 performed quite well. This was the one time I can honestly say I wish I had that 25mm...... The 28-45mm is not as sharp side to side when shooting straight down as it is when looking forwards, I suspect the 25mm prime would perform better in that regard, due to less moving parts and overall weight....
heres a clue as to which photos were for assignment

Ed, the first says adventure or tourism , the second says suspense or military, to me . And yes , I'm sure that large prints have a different feel on both versions. On the iceberg I submitted above , the print looks like a the ice is alive and might take flight any moment, on computer less so , way less.... ---------- Post added 03-09-21 at 05:33 PM ----------
thanks texan Andrew now I wanna go to Dallas and see the original painting of that!!!
