Agreed.
The simple fact of the matter is that if you dont have $350 to spend on a "budget" FA50/1.4 prime, you should stick to your kit lens. After all, your camera cost twice this much.

My mother won a Pentax LX gold from a local camera shop in the early eighties. It has been in a safe deposit box for 20+ years, never been used and is in better than mint condition. We would be interested in any information anyone might be able to provide regarding its value.

sorry the pic is hardly glamorous - taken in a hurry with my wife's point-and-shoot.
I will line up my lenses one day and take a nicer pic.
