I have a question and please excuse my ignorance but someone brought their Sony R1 to work today and I noticed it has live view. Doesn't the Alpha100,D80And K10d use the same censor as this camera. So my question is why wouldn't the k200D or the other cameras offer liveview if they indeed do share the same censor?

I have one that I have been using with my K100D for awhile and it is fine. It seems to work fine exposure wise with a few adjustments as long as you set your apature and iso according to the charts on the flash.

have you tried adjusting your systems virtual memory/paging file because letting windows manage the size you will always run out with memory intensive programs.

I just shot a few pictures with my K100D in AV mode and set on auto ISO and it changed the ISO depending what the F stop was set to.

Thank you for the advice. The photos I took were the first time shooting a sunrise. I took pictures on three different mornings and most of them have flare worse than this one, its a shame because most have very nice colors in the sky. I will try not using a filter next time.
thanks,
John

While on vacation I took lots of sunrise pictures. I had a problem with lens flare on all of them. I was using a K100D with the 18-55 kit lens w/uv filter and lens hood. Could it be because the camera lens was the same level as the rising sun? Can anyone give me any advice to eliminate the flare, I have attached a sample picture to show the type of flare. thanks, John

Didn't you buy a Canon because you couldn't take good pictures with your Pentax like most of the other people on the forum can, so why do you care when Pentax will announce new cameras?

I have Bibble Lite version and use it as my main program. It has saved some photo's for me. The only negative I have about it is that I rarely have any luck with the highlight recovery tool. I get better results with Adobe Camera Raw and photoshop.

I buy the magazine as I like the articles and how to's but it is defiantly biased towards Nikon and Canon just look at the Pentax K100D and K10 camera reviews. If I didn't check out forums like this one and just read this magazine I wouldn't even consider a Pentax camera as it seems only Nikon or Canon cameras are worth buying.

Thanks, for all the responses to my questions. I guess I don't think my shots are that sharp or maybe its the +6 macro ring that I was using. I do like macro shots so I will eventually get a macro lens until then my wife has some african violets starting to bloom so I will try taking some pictures of them . Here is one of the pictures I took, It just doesn't seam as good as it could be.

Nice pictures, I have the 28-200 version of the lens. I think it is a good outdoor walk around lens for the price. Quaffle, I have 3 pictures in my gallery here taken with the 28-200 version.

Hello, This is mostly likely a dumb question but how much better is a dedicated macro lens than attaching a closeup/macro filter to a FA35 or FA50? I have a +6 macro filter that I have attached to my FA50 to take detail shots of miniatures that I have painted and some flowers they are okay but the do seem to lack something. Would a real macro lens help me out? Thanks.

I bought one a few weeks ago to take pictures of my new son, born December 5th. I was able to get some really sharp pictures without using the flash on my K100 while in the hospital and overall am very impressed with the lens.

Hello, I have been checking out the forum for about a month and decided I should introduce myself. I am a new DSLR user and am using the K100D-great camera. I was using my trusty old Practika MTL3 since late 80's and decided I should go digital. I mostly just shoot pictures for personal enjoyment. I only have the kit lense and the tamron 28-200.
