I have a lens Pentax-A 50mm 1.7. In any opening in the lens ring, the machine does not accept this openness, both in the M position as in AV.
Then I discovered that the ideal is to put the lens in position A, and then in any exhibition, P, M, AV, then choose the wheel on the machine and choose the aperture I want and shooting.
Only then get the depths of field I want, if you press the green button and it breaks back at 2.0.
With the lens in manual position, the apertures of the lens barrel does not work in M or AV.
Even with that setting the Pentax advises TVShift in P-Line the apertures do not work in manual mode.
In P mode the machine operates the Pentax-A (position A) as if a lens DA, until the flash works ok.

Well, I see that some pseudo-understood insist on taking the case to the slow USB ports, is wrong, the slowness is the K30 which is slow in data transfer. (end point)
We must assume that it is bug, and I have not bought a machine to spend my life removing the card every time you have to copy photos to the PC.
How to know whether or not that is the USB ports, I worked 30 plus years in informatics, started the system IBM400 then learned RGB, Pascal, Quick Basic, I was part of the hardware team in the maintenance of servers, etc, etc..
This is to say that I now have 61 years and know well the guts of the PC. I have 3 PCs, one of which is my gamer is with (Asus Rampage Formula, E8600 with OC, OC with ATI 7970) ...
Some have USB 2 and USB 3 laptops have (win 7), none of the K30 is normal, is slow. (end point).
We will not cover the SOL with a sieve ...

I also think it is more a bug of K30, has moved several USB cables, changed ports, and is the same slowness.
The Kx and KR is faster, hopefully the next firmware solves this.

Is there any Menu to make a Reset Settings and set the default when the machine came new?
I did several tests on the settings now processing the photos slows.
Now it's just like in the picture, but I can not remember how she came to New.

I have antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials, nothing more.
Do not use any program to the transfer, is the copy of the DCIM camera to the PC.
I do not like taking the card often, there are some faults in the K30 card cover.
I think it is the K30 which is slow to transfer.

I've had the Pentax Kx and Kr, they were very quick in jps transfer to PC via USB cable.
The K30 takes 4-5 minutes to transfer 50 pictures to my PC! Is it normal?
Is it my K30 that has a problem? Or this is normal slowdowns.

The machine will have two days, jpg images without any treatment, only reduce the images in PaintShop Pro to 1200pix. Lens Pentax DA 18-55 AL II

Believe he had bought to 15 days a Canon 650D.
I made some shots with it, but there was not anything I liked, looked at my Pentax lenses and they did not get any better with the Canon.
And because of old ladies Pentax lenses I gave it back the Canon 650D.
And I'm not regretting anything, although this did not make any noise ...
I think I have some virus called Pentax, I have had many Canons, G11, G12, 550D, 650D, etc, but I always end up dispatching them and back to vice Pentax ...
I will even grabbed Pentax, Canon any day invents a kind of methadone for the addicts Pentax.

Pentax always had, and never heard anything like it.
I have the Kx and Kr are silent and the stabilization mechanism.

Guys need help Urgent.
Today I received a new machine purchased in a shop in France.
