The W90 has 2 ports namely a usb and HDMI connection
Is it possible to get a video signals also via the usb port?

I try to make a downlink for the W90 but i can't find a cable to connect the HDMI to a transmitter. So I hope to have more luck with the usb.

I am a kite aerial photographer and I would like to hook up my W90 onto a remote Wireless color monitor. I want to see what the camera is focused on when the camera is hanging 100 m above ground.

Does anyone have experience accessing the camera through USB? (a kind of CHDK Wiki program for Pentax)

Hi Georg,

Thank you so much for your reply.

The german Wikipedia is very complete and I didn't know this web page yet.

Since my hobby is kite making, I think i understand the mechanical part (kite, line, picavet etc...) quite well. The problem is that I do not know that much about photography and more specific all the settings (beside speed and ASA-DIN) you have these days on a camera.

B-kites: KAP Equipment

Thank you so much for your reaction

Here under my current setting... which I do not know if it has any impact on blurb

Thanks for the positive comments. It is quite an adventure to take pictures that way.
You're right, the pictures on the website are +/- OK. But too many of my pictures , which I did not publish, are blured, moved.
So I am looking for the best settings for rapid camera movements, The list of current setting is in my first post.

I am using the W90 since a few months for kite aereal photograpy.

If you want to see some pictures of the result; please check B-kites.

Still some work in discovering the correct setting:
- The camera is moving (hanging under the kite) .
- The object is mostly NOT moving (Just the oposite of sport photography)
- Distance between 50 - 100 m above the ground.

Any suggestions for better setting is fine;

Image tone: natural
Recorded Pixels 12m
Quality level ***
White Balance AWB
AF Setting auto focus
AE Metering. Spot meetering
Sensitivity 200
Iso Correction ISO 80 - 200
EV Compensation -0,3
Pixel track sr. On
Blink off
fix 200 iso
Focus: infin
Blink detection Y
Digital Zoom Y
