K30 and Raw Converters

After using a K200D for years with Paint Shop Pro X2, i just bought a K30, which PSP X4 (the latest) doesn't support. I downloaded the trial of Silkypix Studio Developer 5 since that does work with K30 RAW files, but...where PSP X2 lets me import the pictures directly from the camera, I can't find how to bring the photos from the K30 into Silkypix (the supplied version of Silkypix is still in its wrapper). Apparently, DxO Optics also doesn't import from the camera, and my computer doesn't meet Lightroom requirements, the only other RAW options I can think of.

Admittedly, I'm brutally useless working with computers other than reading email and manipulating PSPX2. Can anyone give me a clue on importing the K30 RAW images...please?

Photozone's 18-135 WR Review

I have the 18-55 WR on my K200D and after using it for a four day trip feel that I'd gladly pay twice the price for it, the only thing more I would want from it is perhaps a constant f/4 and extra reach. The 18-135 certainly gives the extra reach, but PZ's review is disappointing, particularly the increase in barrel distortion at the wide end. Do any owners of this lens find the same problems with it as PZ?

I dont mean hold-it-underwater proof but if I get caught in a sudden downpour, is the grip as sealed as the rest of the camera with the 18-55 WS attached?

New Lens Problems?

Hi, I just ordered an 18-55 WR to use with my new (yes, new old stock) K200D and was wondering how I should check it over when it gets here for problems, such as decentering, FF/BF etc. Unless it's really obvious I don't think I'd be able to spot if glass if out of alignement, for example. Can anyone give me a few tips, please? Also, how has this particular lens fared as far as QC goes? Thanks!

Using Telescope on K200D?

I have a small telescope (400mm focal length) that I thought could make a nice f/6 telephoto lens. Problem is, I have no idea how to attach it to my K200D. I'm sure many Pentaxians here have done something similar, can anyone tell me what I'd need to get it to work? Thanks and Merry Christmas!
