If you have tested things with the exact settings and approach as I detailed in my previous post, and the results are still poor, then the flash is defective or not fit for any HSS purposes. I'd move on and get a different flash for HSS work.

Rear curtain sync is not simultaneously possible with HSS, and it is normal for a limit such as 1/90th to apply to rear curtain sync.
