Maybe it is what I mean. 14.1 EV seems so suprising that in commence sense dynamic range in APC is more narrow than it is film.

It is said the latitude of K5 is very good in APC-S. But how many stops the K5 exactly contains? In the dark side and in the bright side?

where is the best way to put focus.

Thanx for your reply and pardon my English comprehension, I am puzzled that putting the focus on the hyperfocal position is the way guaranteeing all the things in this photo look clear, i remember the book said that.
another puzzle is about your first advice. what the distance of a focus you put can also guarantee the dof carried to horizon and the most sharpness?
in this picture i shot yesterday, i put the focus on the second tower ot this bridge, which i think it's enough to guarantee the sharpness. but which turns out not very sharp as i tought to be. Maybe, it is related to the weather condition, it was foggy yesterday. and I also think maybe there is another reason on focal issue.

K-5 uses mode

i m sorry i fail to catch what you said, what i can tell u is that PEF format is made by Pentax itself, so the Software by Pentax can open it, while DNG is just from Adobe Corp. Generaly speaking, DNG is more usual and suiteble, but this format is twice size than PEF.
If you have no worry about storeage card, DNG is better.

K-5 uses mode

Today it's my first time to get K-5 in hand. I roughly think that K-5 users mode is very useful ,for that I can get ISO range from 80 to 51200, one of which iso 80 maybe is better for image quality. Then I also can get M mode in user mode which is my usual mode.
I just wonder know how many guys use this mode in every-day shooting?
and is there any weak in this mode?

Nice photos, can u give some advice when taking shots about fireworks?

And I think snow shots are a little blue maybe, it may be better if they are more white.

this idea is very brilliant, which turns out that this shot does work, for me if the shadow is stronger, maybe the feeling comes more.
