im actually from maryland. but seeing that my finace is from texas thats where ive moved with his family. It is SO HARD not to pick up words like "yall", "fixin", "supper", it gets bad lol.

well i was thinking about the sunpack 383 but didnt know how good the quality is. Im not really looking for something that maybe someone like a pro would seeing that this is just a hobby for now.
as for diffusers im not too sure what im looking for? if that doesnt sound stupid, iwhat do you prefer?

Hello,
So I'm new to this whole "forum" thing. But everytime I searched google or one of those kinds of sites for help this site would always pop up in the results. With that being said here I am:]
Well, To be bluntly honest I don't know everything on gods lovely green earth about camera's and I had a bunch of questions. before I post any questions I will start this out with saying I have a pentax k100D. Im photographing a family friends wedding in feb. and I need to get some more equipment.
1. Flash- Its an inside wedding and I need a good reliable flash piece. I would like to get one that mounts on the camera. The bad thing is that my usb broke off so I cant hook anything up to it until i get it fixed. ( i herd that happens with alot of k100d's?) Im going tomorrow hopefully to check out the venue. But I knowthat it will be held inside of a church ( meaning it most likely will be dimly lit.... bummer :()
2. Lens- I have a 70-300mm lens but i know that wont cut it. I was thinking of getting the kit lens (18-55mm) because alot of people who do wedding photography said that that is a good start.
3. Compatiblity- (Im starting to feel like my spelling is getting worse)
My uncle also does alot of photography and is offering to let me borrow his spare flash. its a olympus FL-36.
Im sorry if i sound utterly retarded :(
