Lowell, I tried this last night and could not quite figure it out. The menu did show up but only over a black screen. The closest I could come was in review mode. When I tried it then i was able to alter a photo to b&w, sepia, etc. Am I missing something?

Hello, I am an extreme newbie. I have a K100D and am trying to shoot indoors/lowlight with a Pentax 50mm smc f/1.4 lens I recently bought. Basically, there is nothing I can do to get decent pictures in this circumstance. The photos are reddish tinted (white balance issue?) and the camera will only let me shoot with lens in auto mode (only as low as 2.8). Have not been able to even get a shot indoors manually at 1.4. Anyone have some wisdom to share? Thanks very much.
