A couple of my first shots with the Super-Multi-Coated TAKUMAR 120mm F2.8 that I ordered from Japan to Sweden.
Both shots are with the Fujifilm X-T2 and Mitakon Lens Turbo II adapter.

Thanks! I really like the FA Limiteds, especially the 43 and 77. Great build, good image quality with character. Perhaps only the focusing is a bit of compromise between AF and MF. The MX is of course one of Pentax's best K-mount film cameras for the aficionado today. I think only the LX would be up there, but I have not handled it (perhaps for the best!) :)

I saw this video and that is basically covering 15 pages from his book :)

A few days ago I got the book "Old School Photography" by Kai Wong. It is built around one page per topic, like choosing an SLR camera, what film to start with etc. Good casual reading, and for me as mainly digital photographer I need some reminders for analog from time to time.

Currently I am shooting film with the Pentax MX, though I mainly have Spotmatics and M42 lenses for analog.

I tested with several lenses, but for sure the FA Limiteds.I had issue with all lenses though, but the speedbooster was one of the Fringer EF->FX (unsure what version) so the issue was general with that booster.

@Password1234 - Thanks for the reply! I have a Lens Turbo II for M42 -> Fuji X so that one I am familiar and happy with.
Some years back I had the chance to try a combo similar to yours, but with another speed booster. There the aperture lever would come in contact with the booster, but this sounds and seems promising! :)

I have been thinking of getting this setup for using my Pentax full-frame glass on Fujifilm X bodies. It looks like the Takumar 135/2.5 does not mount properly? Like it is mounted 90-degrees wrong. Did you have any issue with aligning/mounting the lens with this combo?

Thanks! I really like the output from the K10D. It takes a bit of different (less) processing compared to newer cameras, but the end result is very pleasing. Later in the evening I had to use ISO1600... I prefer to keep it at ISO800 tops. Very good with the sensor stabilization to keep ISO low though!

Weekend trip and brought the K10D with the SMC Pentax-DA* 16-50mm F2.8 AL [IF] SDM - great weather sealed "vintage digital" combo

Taking the K-3 II out for a spin. It was quite windy on the beach, and due to weather sealing lens choice fell on SMC Pentax-DA* 50-135mm F2.8. Even though I prefer primes for many reasons, I can't fault the end result with the 50-135. Both pictures are at 80mm.

Acquiring the K10D last year, I have been using it more and more as my daily walk-around. I enjoy the "back to basics" compared to more modern cameras, even though it has some clear limitations. The lack of live view, quite simple AF and of course - the now rare but sought after CCD sensor - makes it quite fun to use!

During february I challenged myself to use only the Auto-Takumar 85mm F1.8, an early 60's m42 portrait lens. While very well suited to these shots, it was still interesting! I have used the S-M-C Takumar 85mm F1.8 quite a lot, this is "the same" lens but some 10-15 years before. They perform similar, with the newer S-M-C having improved contrast (especially in backlight).

My set of 15 S-M-C TAKUMAR lenses - a great series to both collect and use! Top three of my most used of the lenses seen in this shot at this point is 20/4.5, 35/3.5, and 85/1.8.

Shots taken with Pentax K-3 II and Auto-Takumar 85/1.8.

While not complete yet, getting quite a few of the Super-Multi-Coated TAKUMARs to the collection. A great series I enjoy both collecting and using! Paired here together with the suitable Electro Spotmatic, even though I mainly use them on digital. Shot with Pentax K-3 II and Auto-Takumar 85mm F1.8.

Improvements to the DA limited primes

I pretty much agree with OP. I have all the SMC DA Limited primes, as well as FA Limited trio (MIJ). If I had to only wish for three things I would say:

DA 15mm - Corner sharpness at wide apertures
DA 21mm -
DA 35mm - Focus limiter
DA 40mm -
DA 70mm -
All - premium rear cap :)

I also shoot with Fuji recently, and their F2 WR series (16/23/35/50) are somewhat similar to the DA Limiteds -> Compact primes for APS-C. Where the Pentax DA all accept 49mm filters the Fujis are using 49, 43, 43, 46 mm.. not as coherent as Pentax.
