Hi Guy, I'm looking at up grading my 18-55mm wr lens to a Sigma 17-70mm DC OS HSM,... Question doe's the K5 support HSM because Sigma website Say's unless your Pentax supports HSM the auto focus will not work,
Anybody got this lens with a K5 and does it auto focus

Hi im shooting DNG+JPEG, No lens correction on and NR set to off, I tried playing around with different settings last night still no change. Was going to try a factory default button??

Hi, my K5 has done the same as yours, One moment it was ok and really quick last two times out its been really slow and dont know why??:confused:

Hi Adam
Thanks for your reply, I thought my camera was faulty, I take it Pentax Know there is a problem hence the up dates you mention,
No need to contact them or return my K5

Hi all you K5 user's, Ive had my new K5 just Over a week or so now and ive had a one off problem with the auto focus not focusing and just searching all the time, I switched it off then tried it the next day, same problem but then the camera locked up this time none of the control buttons would work couldnt do anything with it apart from take the battery out, Bingo all ok and working again any suggestions :confused:

Hi guys,
thanks for all your answers,I take on board what you are all saying and i do agree,Its a great camera and and i should get the most out of it first, Ever heard the saying ( trying to run before you can walk ) well thats me, No new camera for me for a long time then i now understand what i should be doing
