Is this still relevant? If so and there is someone with the code who will not use it, please PM me the code. Thank you in advance.

Grats to the winner. Funny, I submitted something similar but without any text. Maybe I shoud have written something like "pentaxforums.com - a place for Pentax users" :D Or maybe the white version is better? Couldn't decide which one to submit. Anyway, I thought my idea was unique until I saw the winning banner. Good jobs everyone, we had our fun at least ;)

@ Ryan & VTerlaky:
Hey you two. I think it's pretty unfair to submit the profile picture as well. The contest was meant for the banner and everyone else was doing his best with the banner. Now you two step in and submit profile picture as well and thus create an unfair advantage over other submissions. Shame on you two.

I was tricked with the positive reviews of D3100 as well and bought one. As beginner you have no clue what to look for and good review is the only think you have. Only after playing with the camera for some time you stumble upon it's limits and see you are missing things. K-r on the other hand has most of the features you can think of and some more.
For the money the K-r (and also the K-x) is the best choise. I did go for K-r over K-x (among other reasons) for the sequence shooting. But that's just me and others maybe doesn't use it at all.
Edit:
With prices dropping maybe you should consider Canon 550D instead of Nikon D3100 and compare it to K-r.

Thanks for your replies. So far the poll results seem pretty scary :(
@abcdave: Were those lenses all Pentax or also other brands? I could use a free cleaning of my Tamron as well :)

I would go for K-r anytime again. Just would buy it from a store where I could test it for the ff issue. Not every K-r has this issue.
I bought D3100 before K-r and was pretty disappointed. Just try to hold the both cameras in your hand and will know why.
I wouldn't change the K-r even not for D90. My friend has it and we both agreed that the Pentax suits both of us better but he stays with his Nikon anyway so it's also a good option.

A little bit off topic but relevant to your post. Instead of putting your SD into PC or notebook use the provided USB cable. Your card will stay in your camera and also will be less worn off.

Hi, so after the latest firmware disappointment I'm starting to consider to send the camera in. But before doing so and staying without my camera for who knows for how long I would like to know whether it was any help. Please can you share your experience with FF after your K-r returned? Also how long was your camera in service? And how many lenses (or which ones) did you send with the camera in? Thanks a lot Peter |

I'm considering to send the camera in. Did it help to solve the issue? How many lenses are recommended to send (I've got 4 now)?

Just wondering whether this issue is present only on early pieces or it's still persistent with new as well?

You also have to add the following code the signature:
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
just copy it with brackets as well.

I was considering also the third option but then decided that it doesn't matter if one shoots in tungsten light much or not, for the poll it only matters if one has the FF issue or not. So if one does not shoot in tungsten at all he just skips this poll ;)

Hi,
since it seems that nobody has done this so far here is the poll to show how many of us have the FF issue with our cameras.
Edit: FF issue or not I love my K-r :)

Hi,
just wondering whether there are any volunteers with edit rights for wikipedia to improve the article about the K-r Pentax K-r - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It's a great camera and certainly deserves better presentation ;)

Hi, I think nr. 2 is better as well. You could try to shift the DOF a bit so the front tools would be blurry and put there and object that is being crafted and focus on it.
Peter
PS: How did you upload the exif information?

Hi,
I like the nr. 4 best - twisted head and dust particles make it a good zombie photo. Maybe try to use white balance adjusting to get more yellow eyes and skin. Yes and clothes could be more torn and dirty.

Thank you for your feadback. It's my first time uploading photos here. I thought it will remain in "properties" of the pictures.
All photos were taken handheld with no artificial light source. On the last three I adjusted the white balance to get more purple result instead of green.
