My god.. its nice to see this camera (mark 2) is still working its way around the world.
Flickr is a bit of a bother, but we really should soak up all the photos from here to upload.
It shows you don't need great equipment for great photos. Sometimes it actually gets in the way!

Hi All
I've sent one more email - maybe the camera will be found, sent on and continue on its journey.
If not, I'm not going to chase this guy's son anymore. For one reason or another, I don't think he will be able to focus on the camera.

Guys, some news. Got this email from Enigmaticas son
"Hi Chris, this is Michael about dad's camera. I'm heading to Alice Springs for a few weeks tomorrow afternoon so I'll have my partner send it. I'll make sure it's packed super safe. I'll get some photos to you tomorrow so you can confirm its the right one. Just let me know the address thanks."
That was a week ago.. I've given him my address and sent a follow up email, but no luck :(
Will chase him again tomorrow. Hope this isn't a bad sign!

Guys - just got this message from his account:
He wants to know who to send it to next. Options are ask him to send it back to me, and i'll send to the next member, or send it directly on - to @kp0c CA I think
What are people's views? Since I'm in the same city it will be quicker to confirm it exists if he sends it back to me.

Hi All
Just noticed that there was activity here about the delivery to Enigmaticca. I sent the K1000 by registered post on 26 August 17, and the number said it was delivered. He was pretty hard to contact to get address, and did say he had other issues going on so wonder if that is it.
I do have his mobile number / address, so I will send a message reminding him about this thread, and asking him to confirm he got the camera.
Let's assume something bad is going on in his life!

Shot using a mixture of film, including Japan Retro 100, Kodak Pro and a few other random things I can't remember (if you want to know, i'll go look at the negatives).

Landed back in Australia on Tuesday. I've got a few frames to shoot of this weekend but then ready to hand the toy on - although I want to keep it! The sparsity of film and manual settings make you think about every aspect of the shot before you make the critical and irreversible decision to open the shutter. Very different from digital which incentives spraying shots at everything

Hi guys have had the k1000 for about a week. It's been great fun to play with and really brings photography back to the basics.
Quick dilemma thought - I'm going on a 3 week holiday to Sweden at the end of the week, and haven't finished my first roll of film.
What does the collective think? Is it ok for me take it with me on the drip and send to the next person when I get back?
