I just got mine today, it's a 3rd party holder from hercules accesories for about SGD$25 (US20). works fine. i do have a gripe though. . when the battery cover on the k-r is closed, there seems to be no way to get it flush with the camera body.
It works fine and the cover latches on rather easily. Anyone with this problem?

I had a photoshoot today, i was the "model" for a friend. Anyway, i brought along my k-r and asked
if he could take a couple of pictures using it to which he kindly obliged. Here's just one of them, it was
taken in a studio. It was taken with the "more vivid" setting. Straight out of the camera, has not been edited except resizing.

When i was doing my research, deciding which camera to buy, one of the first few places i stopped
by was this forum, it gave me quite a good feeling of what to expect out of the K-r and thankfully i
Haven't been dissapointed so far.
The thing is, when i looked through the forums initially, it was really hard to find a post showcasing
sample images from the K-r. I'm new to DSLR photography and i'm rather average at my best, hopefully
members with more experience would like to add on as well.

Hi all, I'm new to dslr's and i recently got my first one, a white K-r 18-55 kit, 3 days back. It is simply AWESOME..... i do have one question though, when shooting on "manual" at the widest angle, there are times when i can get the aperture down to f3.5 , however, there are many an instance where it stays put at f4.0 and just refuses to go down (also at the widest angle).
Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks for the help
