Tough lighting day, not too happy with the rest of the roll, but this one is ok. Mostly looking for composition critique. I was using some ghetto Fuji 400 generic, and it was super dim, tripod wasn't with me... Attachment 82391 |

In metered manual mode, or in aperture priority.

I was all sorts of confused today when I was going over a new (to us) ZX-10 i bought for my wife today... I thought the camera was displaying the wrong aperture, but it turns out it was changing just a few stops when I zoomed in/out- on one zoom setting it would be correct based on what was displayed on the aperture ring on the lens and then when the zoom would change it would change a few stops (I cant remember if it was correct when zoomed in or out). Why does it do this?
Sorry for the dumb question...

I saw a Black and White film chart the other day (online) and can't remember where I saw it. Essentially it had the ISO, grain, usage, and brand (Only ilford and Kodak) compared with the proper usage. Anyone know where I might find something like this?

I have the opportunity to buy the ZX-M, Zx-10, Zx-50, and ZX-60. I have already had the ZX-M and liked it. I dont mind the full manual, though auto focus would be nice. I do want a camera that I can attach as many lenses as possible, mostly for greatest selection or apertures/options.
What do you guys think?

I have a ZX-M and have noticed a dramatic increase in the amount of dust in the fiewfinder. Mirror & viewfinder eyepiece are clean, its pretty clear its on the surface of the glass inside the viewfinder. Anyone know how to get it out, or how much it would cost me to have it cleaned?

Good eye, HGMonaro. I went through all of the photos, converted to B&W and they look much, much better.

I am looking for a used DLSR for under 200. I know that is a low number, but I am a college student and I don't have a lot of $$ to spend on equipment. I have a ZX-M currently and am pretty happy with what it does for me. Something digital that is comparable would be awesome.

I did not scan these myself, but it was done at an hour developing place so that makes sense.
As for learning more about scanning, what exactly do you mean? I do not have the means to ever process/scan myself.

I have been having some trouble with my ZX-M (on only one roll so far) but was wondering if anyone knew what might cause a reddish line on the top third of my photos, even though the film is black and white? Here are two of the photos: Attachment 81564Attachment 81565 |
