PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
MSI P50 I5-12400 Creator PC Asking Price
679.00 USD Item Location
San Francisco (United States) Item Description
I know this forum is for camera sales but I have for sale a great small PC that I used for photo editing. It has a 500GB SSD PVIE drive and 16GB of ram. Ram upgradable to 64GB. The dedicate graphics card is unusual in a PC of this size and works great with the denoise option in lightroom which why I bought.
The i5-12400f is a desktop CPU which is unusual in a mini PC. PVIE is upgradable to at least 2tb and there is a internal option for a SATA 2.5" SATA drive. I ran it with a 2TB drive but MSI doesn't not specify a max size so I am sure you could go bigger
PC has just been refurbished by MSI due to a motherboard iusse now fixed. I purchased this in May 2023 but decided to replace it as I needed room for more internal storage. I ran it with 4tb of storage and 64gb of Ram I love the small size and stylish case.
See specs below. Comes with the included msi wired keyboard and mouse (not wireless). Feel free to ask questions. Asking $679 including shipping to the 48 states. Willing to ship to Canada, Alaska or Hawaii but need to adjust shipping. As always local pickup preferred.

Yes I the K3 has 3 user modes. Setup all the options you want, including white balance, and then save it in the camera mode 4, customizing the button/e-dial functions. Page 73 of the manual. You can even rename them. Switch them on when ever need them. You can change them while shooting but once you turn the camera off they will return to the settings you saved.

So sorry to hear of your issues with your Pentax cameras. My K01 and k-30 both broke on me but I was able to fix the K-30. I think the only way to fix my K01 is with a donor body that has a good shutter. My 2nd K01 is working fine for the last year or 2. Most of my other pentax cameras had only minor issues if any at all.

Congratulations on your success!! I am not skilled enough to fix it myself so sent mine out to be repaired. Since have sold it but only because I have too many cameras.

I don't have any empirical evidence or examples. Just a feeling looking at the pictures. I think the only way to be sure is to buy another k1 and compare. But I will admit it is subtle. ---------- Post added 04-04-24 at 02:19 PM ----------
Thanks! He is not my favorite either but I think what I am noticing is the difference in white balance with the K1 warmer than the K1ii. Something I may be able to alter in camera.

Hi all
This may be a silly question but I was wondering if anyone here upgraded from a K1 to the K1ii and were you satisfied with the upgrade? I have and I think I like the K1 images better but I am not sure has I do not have both cameras anymore, only the k1ii. I can't put my finger on it but I seem to like the K1 images better. Thoughts?

I go through this all the time when I am at home. I most like to capture people in natural settings unposed trying to get a glipse of who they are or even a story in the photo. That is hard when I don't have that many people in my life to work with.
Now when I get to Italy, something happens and I am much more inspired. Not saying you should go to Italy (well maybe you should). But maybe you need to remember what you like to photograph.
Finnally I am gear driven photographer. Sometimes I grab a camera I haven't used in awhile just to play with it.
Anyway good luck on your journey.
Oh one last thing. I have many hobbies and tend to cycle through them. When my interest is in one, the others go by the wayside.

I am curious about what it is you aren't happy with? I don't have that lens and I don't use zooms much. I also stuggle to discern what is the lens versus the camera, the settings etc and I shoot raw and post process... so I'm wondering what you see.

Back in 2013 I picked up my 1st K01 as the prices dropped and I figured the lens was worth the price of the camera. Fell in love with the camera used it on my trips to Italy in 2013 and 2014. I was looking at my pics those trips, and they were all taken with the K01 and da40xs. Now I did not know as much about photography back then but I am amazed by how good they look to me. Here are some samples, all most likely edited in Lightroom. |

I like the detail and angle of the first one as well as the light and dark paterns across her body. Though I am not distracted by the background I can see how it could be. Some work in lightroom (or raw photo editor) to bring out the subject from the foreground? ---------- Post added 09-08-23 at 07:32 AM ---------- My wife likes the background. Makes her look like a saint in every day life.
