Looking through your profile, you've posted some really excellent photos in the past with your K-3II, so I'm sure you'll get great results with your K-3III when you eventually start using it.
One of the things I've realised over the years is that, whenever I've lost interest in any particular thing for a period of time, it was because subconsciously I felt that I'd hit a plateau and wasn't improving anymore. So I would go through a sort of fallow period when I had no interest in doing that thing at all. Sometimes I never went back to it, for example with drawing and painting, but with photography I've always gone back to it in the end.
And here's the thing: when I went back to it, I always discovered that I'd got better at it without even trying. Without even consciously doing it, throughout that period of downtime I'd been reassessing what I wanted from the craft, deciding which old habits I needed to lose and which new approaches might work for me.
So hopefully, when the urge to use that K-3III finally hits you, you'll discover that what you've actually been going through is a period of personal growth.:)

Recently "upgraded" to a Benq SW240, it's 24" 1080P on a Windows 10 operating system. Mostly use PhotoShop for post-production. Over the years, have had quite a few monitors, all "good" but was looking for something that would embrace a higher percentage of Adobe RGB (this one is 99%...most of the others were rated at around 70-75% Adobe but 100% sRGB. The deciding push factor was the Black Friday price and a local dealer with inventory. To be honest, was somewhat skeptical as to how much better it would be over the priors but the "pop" this monitor brought to the colours proved the investment.

....These were shot with a Pentax 35mm Macro and a Sigma 17-70mm....this was a test of the AF fine tuning on the K3III and the camera sensor....very happy with both.

I got a K10d body essentially for "free" as part of a shopgoodwill.com purchase of a camera kit. I was after a Sigma -y II MF 21-35mm F/3.5-4.2 lens in Pentax K mount, as I have no full-frame wide angles in that range. The kit included the Sigma lens along with a K10d, original charger and two batteries, smc Pentax-M 80-200mm F/4.5 lens, bag, all untested. I intended to sell all but the Sigma if they worked - turned out everything worked and was in great shape, just needed a cleaning. I still have it all, and was going to list the extra items, but then started to read posts about the K10d and decided to try it. It was a little frustrating to use with the ISO limited to only 1600 (compared to my K-70 and K-1-II), and had second thoughts about keeping it. Then I had this change of thought - why not consider it a "digital film" camera? After all, I still shoot film Pentax bodies often, and I'm used to being limited to a single ISO, usually less than 1600. The K10d is certainly more flexible than that. I think the images have more of a film "feel" than my other digital cameras. So now I'll try using the K10d with the idea in mind that it is a film camera, that achieves a unique look to the images (similar to a particular film emulsion), different than a typical digital camera, yet it is more flexible than a real film camera in that I can switch the ISO (albeit in a limited range). It certainly has more flexibility in controls than a typical film camera. Anyway, I just wanted to share that. Here are some recent K10d photos I took, with the HD Pentax-FA 31mm F1.8 Limited and with the SMC PENTAX-DA F3.5-5.6 18-135mm ED AL [IF] DC WR.

Here's a city bus out of its element on a gloomy afternoon walk today. I actually stood waiting for about fifteen minutes because I knew there's usually a bus comes past about that time of the day, and thankfully the ponies didn't wander away in the meantime. City Bus by David Holland, on Flickr

I know I've posted about a zillion pony snaps taken from almost exactly this same spot before, so apologies for yet another one. It just happens to be the easiest place for a quick afternoon stroll and there tends to be ponies hanging around, so what can a guy do? At least this one was a chance to try out the K200D/18-135mm combo in bright sunlight, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered snapping it. Anyway, I think I've got a DCP profile that works okay with that combination now, and I'm starting to get my head around the camera's. . . um. . . interesting white balance behaviour, so I'm feeling quite contented about the photographic year ahead.:) Generic Pony Photo by David Holland, on Flickr
