no Calicojack it was the AF280T I first asked about and a Cobra D650 , asking if they were ok with a Pentax K110d. They answered me and I've since tried them and both work with it to a limit.

I'm now selling a few of my Pentax film cameras since getting the K110d but keeping most of my older lenses, well the best ones anyway like the smc Pentax-a 1.7 and a couple of the Tamron SP zooms I have. But Am pleased with the K11od so far, till I save enough to upgrade to something like a K7 or a K-x I will decide when the time comes btu am leaning towards the K7 so far

Thanks for all your help and yes sorry it is a K110d not a pentax ist like I mistakenly put. But its arrived and seems to work fine with both flashes but but I still use the built in 1 the most yet, I just tried the other 2 to see if they did. I did check the voltage of both first though so thanks again for your help.

spectacles and the viewfinder

I had the same problem but I got round it cheaply. I had a cheap pair of reading glasses that I had bought from the rack at a local store and I had a rubber viewfinder that fitted onto a plastic piece to fit my camera. This only cost me a few pounds on Ebay, and I cut a piece from the lens off the old glasses to fit the viewfinder and it works perfectly. Suits my eyesight perfect and doesnt cost the price they charge for ready made ones.

I'm a bit like you in that I have just recently picked up my 35mm again and started taking photos again, but Ive also decided to try going digital too with a dslr. I've never tried developing my own black and whites yet but have been looking into giving it a try too. Getting older does give more free time so looking forward to trying new things. I hope you enjoy taking up 35mm again as I have been.

Pros Light and easy to use Cons none really Rating 8 Price (U.S. Dollars) £110 with lenses not sure in $ Years Owned 20

I can recommend this camera: Yes

Value, Features, Performance & Size
It is a little bigger than the ME super i own but still feels nice in the hands. Performance wise it does everything you need if ou want to be more hands on than just point and click.

Camera Review
I used to have a Minolts xg2 before selling it to pay the bond down on a flat along with all the other equipment I had at the time. But When I saw the Pentax P30 at a car boot sale I decided to take the risk and buy it for £110 which included a 50mm f2 lens and a vivitar 70-200mm A zoom and dedicated flash. AFter that I bought a wide angle lens and took up photography again. Going out quite often just on my own. An excuse to get away from the wife and kids. Thw P30 did everything i wanted and I usually used it in manual mode rather than aperature priority. I took it with me everytime we went off for the day or on summer holidays and even took the wedding photos at a friends wedding. They were delighted with them even though it cant be called a professional camera. But the photos were still good enough. I did stop using it for quite a while when i got too busy with work but have found time again and have even bought another camera. A pentax P30n. I havent used it much yet but hope it will be as good as the P30 I still have. I've also invested in a few new lenses so looking forward to the better weather to get out.

What about a Tamron SP 35-210mm 3.5-4.2 that should be fast enough and is a good lens that you can still get cheap.

I've just got back into photography again after a break of about 20 years. Just too busy working till now. But I've been buying a few lenses and a couple of film cameras new to me but old models and a couple of my lenses are tamron adaptall 2. I have read that they seem to be ok but not got any results back yet. I have a Tamron SP 38-80mm 2.8-3.8 (01a) and a Tamron SP35-210mm 3.5-4.2 Macro 26A. Can anyone tell me if they are as good as I thought they may be. Thanks
