Are you sure the lens is a Pentax mount? Vivitar made lenses in many different mounts and vendor may have sent you the wrong one. Just saying[emoji41]

Very nice. The only thing that detracts from it is the crazy gold "passed" sticker. I would get rid of it in post. Otherwise, great job.

I don't believe film will totally disappear. It will become a specialty item made by a few independents and sold through sites such as Freestyle. There will always be some hobbyists who continue to use film.

Blue: If you re-read the OP, he says Chinon was distributed in Korea under the Chinar name. I don't see any reference to where the glass was made. Perhaps you miss-read the post.
Spiralcity: Thanks for the info. Something I did not know.

Welcome. I vote you go for the 50 and give it a good workout. That'll give you time to look around and do some research. The type of lens you use has a lot to do with what type of photography you are doing. Take the time to study all the info out there.

I've been using the Kx a great deal and have had no problems with it. A great little camera IMHO.

This is an AF unit meant for a manual focus camera. This was an early way of getting AF. I would not use it on your DSLR. If you do, set your camera for manual focus.
