I was kind of on the same track with you - except I started from a 67.
Used the 67 for a month and decided to get a body as a back-up. I didn't want to buy a 67-2(too expensive-and I have one stashed for future already, bought new 4 years ago), and then a new 645n showed up - so I jumped at it. Bought the 67-645 adapter and am using one set of lenses with those bodies. In fact, the first lens I bought for 645 system was only a week ago-full 6 months after the 645n itself.
From my point of view, a 67 and a 645 are a great pair of bodies to have as they substitute one another perfectly. Depending on what I'm shooting I; using either or. Weird to shoot street events with the standard 67(without A-priority) - and only 10 frames per roll+it's not the fastest-loading camera, but here's where the 645 excels. On the other hand, when I came to Yosemite and there was a storm which suddenly finished and left absolutely gorgeous, once-in-a-lifetime views, I was happy that I had the 67 on me. I also had a 6x17 but that's another story;) Majority of the keepers were shot on the 67 though..
To sum it up, I'd keep both bodies, but the adapter and look at the 67 lenses.
With current prices they look like a great substitution for the 645 ones-while being of the same exceptional quality, if not better

I used to travel with two systems on me-a Canon digital and a Leica R film.
As I mostly fly Lufthansa, and they are very strict on carry-on policies(no more than 8kg for the piece), keeping my photo stuff close to me is always a potential problem. I never carry tripods on board-extra bulk and discomfort isn't worth it in my case.
As of now, I'm planning to travel with medium format(two systems), so it gets a bit more complicated.
My way of handling the situation is relatively easy:
in the past I used either the Lowepro Computrekker backpack - at 1.4kg of weight you can fit huge amount of stuff in it - and even fully stuffed it doesn't attract too much attention as it isn't very big. You can also fit a 13" Macbook or a 14" ThinkPad in it if needed.
In case of medium format, the Computrekker fits my 67 system perfectly still staying relatively light. I can also fit a 645 body instead of a tele lens if I need a backup camera.
Right now as I plan to travel with medium format exclusively, I've settled on a Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus, a monster of a backpack, which is also light, and easily fits my 67 with the lenses and my 645n plus whatever film and other misc. stuff I may need. It's still within carry-on limitations - and many U.S. airlines aren't that strict on the carry-on weight limitations as the germans.
There's one thing to consider, though. Lowepro ceased production of both Computrekkers, regular as well as Plus - and replaced the line with the Pro Runner series.
The Pro Runner 300 and 350 are the new versions of the smaller Computrekker, but the 300 doesn't have a laptop compartment. The 450AW is a new Computrekker Plus which is the same size, slight difference in design.
I've figured that I'd better be safe than sorry, and ordered myself one regular computrekker and one plus to sit in the closet until the older ones die-this way I won't have to even think about transport issues with my gear.

I wish I had one - my came with the regular screen. I'll have to get used to it, though, as I mostly shoot with 67 lenses
Or get some fa lens.

I doubt they do have those in stock but I'll call tonight - being russian is sometimes a plus.
Although I don't think it's a good idea to pay $700 for the fa 75/2.8 as well as $2600 and $2800 for 90-160 and 45-85 respectively.
I'd still call them to find out. If they do have those in stock I'd be surprised, though.
But what's good with Russia is that you can still bargain there sometimes. If the lens has been sitting on the shelf for a year or two, they might sell it for less.

The bayonet is the same, but there's no a/f for d fa lens on 645n/n2 bodies..Different motors

I called them a day or two ago - 35mm wasn't available, but 75, 45 and 80-160 FAs were in stock at the moment, so they still get them every now and then.
Pentax officials say that none of FA lenses are produced anymore(except the new 25 and 55). That's a pity, but they're at least available somewhere..

The same thought came to me as well. I just scored a new 645N and after acquiring the 67 to 645 adapter(as I have quite a number of 67 lens) I went looking for 645 AF (FA) lenses.
From what I've seen during the last couple of weeks(I wasn't on the market before that), I'll stick with what I already have for a while. Can't afford spending so much on lenses right now as I've just finished accumulating the 67 kit.
Also, there's the asian new year holiday going on now, so some stuff should pop up when it's over.

A mint copy of this lens in box, with papers etc sans the hood was listed at a russian ebay auction for 40000rub, which is about 1350$. It was listed for 5 hours and I was the one who acquired it with a help of a friend. This was less than 48 hours ago. I found the hood on ebay for 95$ which totals it at 1450$.
I haven't seen EDIF versions around for quite some time, but I've seen some regular 300/F4 go for almost a thousand dollars apiece.

Thanks to a friend, a 67-II addict, I stumbled upon a mint 300 ED IF roughly 6 hours earlier. I was looking for it for a while now, but I only saw Takumars and non-ED IF versions going for anything from 400$ to a 1000$, which was a bit scary for me.
He found it on a russian version of ebay with a buy-it-now price around 1300$ - that was for the full kit but for the lens which was lost.It was listed for two hours when we pulled the trigger on it - I decided not to push my luck further and got the missing hood an hour later from ebay.
He's going to pick it up for me during the next couple of days and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I even thought of an over-the-weekend trip there just to pick it up.

Good night, everybody.
Two months of guest-reading and I've made it through the registration.
My name is Alex, and as of now I'm a Pentax MF addict.
It all started a couple of months ago when I received a Pentax 67 with a metered prism and a 105/2.4 lens as a birthday gift. At that moment my Canon bag was sitting in the closet for at least two months and I was in the process of experimenting with different film cameras to see which ones are my kind - a bit of shooting with a Leica SLR, a bit of Konica RF experience, and that 67 changed it all in a matter of minutes. Needless to say first thing I did is bring it to my local photo store so they'd send it for full service and CLA.
I was leaving for Russia for three weeks-and as I found out there was a brand 67-II stashed there so I just took the lens with me. By the time I got back to the US after holidays I had more than 30 rolls of film and slides in my carry-on bag that I've taken with that 67-II. When I brought them in for developing I was handed back my 67-it took less than three weeks to have it cleaned and adjusted.
I wasn't only shooting during those three weeks, though. Being a son of a photographer turns out to be a good thing sometimes - together with my dad we scored quite a number of lenses, most of them in like-new condition, and by the time I was ready to shoot in the US I had a backpack full of great equipment. It's still arriving, though.
I also came to an understanding that I want to try different medium camera formats - and came along a new 645n which is en route to me as I speak.
Well, that was quite long for an introduction, but anyway, It is my pleasure to be here and from now on I will not only be reading the forum as a guest, but also participate.
