Hey everyone:
New Pentax user from Missouri. Used to be into photography back in high school and then after that just kinda fell off. Recently felt the urge to get back into it and I purchased the Pentax K-r kit in order to re-learn and re-sharpen very dull skills. I've learned so much already from reading the posts on this forum.
I've attached a couple photos I took. The first was taken at the birthday dinner for my late grandmother's best friend who turned 102 years of age. She was saying goodbye to her only niece and I captured this hug. Not the best composition but I can definitely feel the love coming from it.
The second picture is an HDR of a harvested cotton field.
Being a former celeb bodyguard I'm also interested in concert photography. Recently took my K-r to a friends concert to test it out in low light. I was only using the kit lenses and I thought they performed fairly well. With some faster glass I think the K-r will do quite well in a concert setting.
