Every time I go on an outing with other photographers, I'd consider myself lucky if I saw 1 other Pentax owner. One time I went to a raptor conservatory for a shooting and was bombarded with questions by the canikon folks about why I chose Pentax. The ones that didn't ask just gawked at me as if I was some alien species. I guess it also wasnt helping that i had the old Vivitar series 1 70-210mm on my k10d which stuck out like a sore thumb. In any case, my photos came out amazing, and I spent less body/lens combined, than most probably did for their fancy canikon camera strap. |

The last few times i've been to NYC, i've seen a Pentax logo'd truck driving around that made routine stops at some of the busier areas. The truck would then "unfold" of sorts and display the latest and greatest from Pentax. They would even let you pop in your own SD card and take a few shots using their cams. Not bad fro having a limited advertising budget.

Pelosi and "mellow" should never be in the same sentence. So, no, I don't think she changed her mind or mellowed out. It's just opportunism plain and simple. I'm not a big Obama fan but I applaud him for his presidential decision making in going after OBL and taking him out. I just wish our politicians (on both sides) had better integrity.
It's sad that our government has turned into this type of circus show.

The Intellectual Dishonesty of Nancy Pelosi Commentary Magazine Here’s Nancy Pelosi from a press conference on September 7, 2006:
[E]ven if [Osama bin Laden] is caught tomorrow, it is five years too late. He has done more damage the longer he has been out there. But, in fact, the damage that he has done . . . is done. And even to capture him now I don’t think makes us any safer.
And here’s Nancy Pelosi yesterday:
The death of Osama bin Laden marks the most significant development in our fight against al-Qaida. . . . I salute President Obama, his national security team, Director Panetta, our men and women in the intelligence community and military, and other nations who supported this effort for their leadership in achieving this major accomplishment. . . . [T]he death of Osama bin Laden is historic. . . .
This devastating then-and-now comparison comes to us courtesy of John Hideraker of Power Line. It underscores the degree to which partisanship can ravage people’s fair-mindedness and, in the process, make them look like fools and hacks. Such things aren’t uncommon in politics—but what is rare is to see such intellectual dishonesty proven so conclusively.
The sad thing is, it's not just limited to her. Many politicians are finding themselves suddenly "proud" of the intelligence community and military. And no I'm not saying onlyDemocrats do this, Republicans do this sort of flip-flopping also but on different topics. Just another example of why I don't trust the government.

I'm confused, are you being sarcastic? I'll give Obama the credit for sticking it out until we got him but I wouldnt give him credit for the death of OBL. If it were up to him and the uber-libs, all middle-east operations wouldve have ended a few years ago, and thus unlikely we'd ever kill OBL

I doubt it. The way our economy is heading and the gas prices being what they are, it seems like the democrats are f-ed. If not, at least it'll be a very close race.

I did see that video, kinda freaky. I do agree she's a bit looney but i dont worr y because she isn't going to be in any political role that can affect us.
