Been shooting when I can. but life decided battling brain cancer wasn't enough of a challenge for me, so handed me the 'rona last Friday. Needless to say, taking photos was shelved for a bit. Starting to feel better, so hopefully I can get back on track after my radiation treatments are done on Thursday. At that point I get a few weeks off to heal up and they can get a fresh brainscan to see if we knocked this stuff back on its heels or not.

With a K-3, don't be afraid to crank your ISO You can usually *somewhat* recover the Noisepocalypse somewhat in post, and it won't be worse than the Blurpoclypse.

You're making me want to bust my Gigapan out (if I can find the bits for it). I bought my K-70 with it partly in mind, actually. I don't have many 'light' long lenses (my 100-500 is a push/pull and could double as a baseball bat), but even at wider lengths it does an impressive job of things. I realized quickly gigapan images tend to do best on dry, still days when the air is calm as even on a gorgeous day the objects in the distance will invariably get warped from air disturbance.
If you haven't tried astro panos with it, I highly recommend it!

So far I'm about halfway through radiology and aside from being perenially tired I'm handling it well. I'm *hoping* its a positive for them scrubbing as much of the cancer as possible, but who knows

So. I'm gonna try jumping in for the Dailies come September (or maybe even earlier if I feel the urge). My life's been kind of surreal this summer, and I may not exactly have a lot of Monthlies to participate in before I go shuffling off (Diagnosed with a brain tumor July 4, brain surgery July 9, about halfway through radiation with a boatload of chemo yet to come).
The single/daily ins have always been fun, and with work being non-existent for the foreseeable future, I have the time to spare so long as I don't need to walk much (the tumor took out my right leg, so I'm stuck walking via a cane now).
Depending how finances go I may treat myself to a K-1 for my birthday.

Man, how hard did he get hit? It popped the airbags! Those usually require a bit more than just a mild thump to deploy.
The car looks to be in bad shape to.

I haven't selfied with the in a while. Last time it was with a 500mm for a challenge, so I went the opposite way this time with the Sammy 14mm. |

Jumping in a day late for the Daily. I'm not going to be able to focus on just one lens (though that cheap Sigma I picked up is tempting me), but I need to start stretching my legs and blowing the dust off. I've really REALLY been neglecting my hobby the past few years - when I went in to find a photo to submit for the January contest, I realized I'd only uploaded about two dozen photos to Flickr, and half of those were re-works of older shots.
The K-70 is an amazing little camera, it deserves not to be neglected.
Also if I get back in the groove, I can totally use it as an excuse to maybe grab a full frame come tax season. 90% of my lenses are FF anyway so there is no reason not to besides the cost of the camera.

Shot this one at the break of day Halloween. I've been using it as my desktop, hence the odd crop.
It's funny - probably my favorite shot of the year was literally the view out my front door.

Some portrait bokeh. Played a bit with a new-to-me lens (stupid cheap one, to) and was pleasantly surprised. I did overwork the post a bit, but I like the effect at the end so thats all that counts.
