yea i was pushing mine to its limit with 6gb yesterday. task manager had me at 96% !!
and actually i did it handheld. the shutter speed was 1/25 so i had to do a little extra sharpening to make up for it.

that was the selling point for me.
its not going to be here until monday and im already wanting to buy the 1d classic off of keh right now for 144!
i really want to start doing sports as the desert landscape in lubbock has started to get boring for me. Paintball is something i have always loved and i have photographed in the past (with a kodak p850....quite difficult to capture action on a glorified point-and-shoot) and im thinking id be more willing to risk a 144 dollar body than a 429 dollar one. i know the Mp are small but the biggest i would ever want to print would be about the size of a magazine cover :D

thanks for all the input fellas. i think the main reason im wanting a FF is for the extra peripheral vision you can gain if that makes any sense. when im standing on the top of a parking garage overlooking a city or at the top of a canyon looking out i feel like that immense vastness always escapes me. thats really the best way i can put it. it just feels too narrow on what i have now, granted the widest angle i have access to is 18mm translated to whatever it equals on the aps-c sensor. im also not a big fan of doing panoramas. i do like them in certain situations but the processing time sucks

i just updated cs5 because my photomerge was crashing photoshop. ( turns out it was an Nvidia update that i needed).
so once photoshop/acr was updated i noticed it took away the chromatic aberration sliders and gives you a half *** drop box that doesnt do much good. anyone know if i can just re download ACR 6.something older than 7? i saw a lot of threads on the adobe forums about copying files before the update but thats too late for me.

not sure really where to put this thread.
i currently have a k20d and have been wanting to get a full frame camera. one thing to keep in mind is that i dont have much money at all so im wanting to go as cheap as possible, but still gain overall resolution.
i like to make poster sized prints and bigger when i can and i want a camera that will produce a picture with a better resolution than my k20d. i also want to go full frame because i like the extra width you gain. ive been eyeballing the original Canon 1Ds or possibly the first 5D.
so i guess my question is; even though the overall megapixels are less on the two canons i mentioned will the frame size make up the difference and come about even with the k20d as far as pixelation when blown up? will they be better or worse?
just curious if anyone knows or possibly has a k20d and one of the other cameras i mentioned. anytime i make a search all i get is the pixel quality becomes better, well i know that i just dont know if that quality difference is enough to surpass a higher resolution aps-c camera
