Well a little chunk of the mirror foam popped off today...and I cannot seem to get rid of the specs in the viewfinder no matter how much I use the blower(I am a little OCD about these things). They are near the bottom and in the split prism area. I cleaned the bottom of the mirror with some Lens cleaner which got rid of any on the top(I was careful, no scratching happened).
Not sure even if its safe to use it now...The guy gave me a 5 dollar partial refund to help pay for the new seals though, that was very nice of him, so I am probably go with interslice but it seems they are out of k1000 seal kits atm.
I tried blowing at both the mirror and sensor....btw. I think its on the sensor which I cannot touch if I am correct.

So I am guessing the back park is a little lose(goes in and out a tiny bit) because of the old light seals correct? Just trying to understand this all, sorry for all the questions.

Honestly it would be to hard to see in a photo, it just goes in a tiny bit when pushed, might be normal for this model, I am not sure.
(also the light foam is in the back but it is very old looking, it comes off like an oil/goo substance if I touch it and its hard to see(Very small and little of it)

Instant gratification? Anyways, I am sure the D7000 is alright, I dislike it myself but I'm sure its great for some.
Not bad have more then one branded camera anyways. Little verity never hurt anyone.

Well that is good to know, sounds easy enough, my only other issue is the bottom plate moving...Is that even fixable? I really need to know now since he only allows 3 day returns(Which is ridiculous I think, 7 would be more fair)

Well since I have not developed in such a long time I messed up the first development but I shot my friend on campus right after and developed those, they are still at my school drying off(Had to leave, photolab was closing). They looked fine but I would need to look them over a bit better. Again being no foam I am not hopeful.
Yeah I know, not sure if the looseness is an issue(Its very little, like you need to look close to notice it.), but I feel like since this guy said it did not need foam I got a little screwed on that end of things, I am tight on money(Aren't we all haha) and even that 10 dollars for new foam is irritating me right now.

Well I got it, I have a question, there is no mirror foam in the back, only on the mirror. Also the bottom part of the camera goes in a tiny bit when pressed(Slightly loose). I did try to tighten it, had a little effect but not totally fixed.
Is this bad?

To be honest I rather get it done local at a place like B&H or Adorama, would he be much cheaper? Again this is just in case the foam is bad which it might not be, maybe I can get a few years out of the current stuff hopefully.
I emailed him, he said it should be replaced in 2-3 years so it seems I will be fine though. Thanks.

Ahh ok, well thats good, I am not to good with dealing with things such as that so I sure hope so. Just was wondering why it looked so different. If by any chance it needs replacing, how much would a place like B&H or Adorama charge?

Hmm Odd about the DOF thing, I have always gotten good depth of field just by eye, is this really considered a big feature( I mean no bad by this, Just curious). I mean I have never noticed this on my DSLR also...I have katzeye in it so not sure if that makes a difference.

Hmm sounds good if its like a MX. Not sure if I ever used mirror lock up or meter switch(???). Also not so sure of the advantages of DOF preview, thats basically a button to open the lens up all the way right? I remember doing that just by going to the lenses limits(Ex: 2.8) and then back up to the aperture I was gonna shoot at(Ex:16) aperture and taking the shot.

This has happened to me, it might be a dying or old SD card.
