I spent many many hours shooting 35mm through the 1990's. Then the kids came along and the camera gear gradually moved further and further back in the closets. We have a number of digital cameras that I've played around with, but I've only really followed through with printing and framing a few shots in the past 10 or 12 years.
Today, for Valentine's Day, my wife surprised me with an Olympus OM-10 hooked on to an 80 - 205 zoom lens. Bless her heart! This inspired me to dig out the rest of my gear and before noon I had the dining room table covered in camera bodies and lenses.
I'm not really much of a collector, but I've accumulated quite a bit of gear. I'm thinking about paring down some of the Pentax gear and found your blog. I'm not sure what I will be selling, but I do have some interesting lenses and older camera bodies.
My favorite camera is my Olympus OM-1 with the Zuiko 1,8/50mm. Then comes the Honeywell/Pentax H3 with a Carl Zeiss Jena 2,8/50mm. I won't be parting with either one of these.
I'm looking forward to getting my shooting chops back and also to the excitement of reviewing a proof sheet. Once I get rolling, I may change my mind about paring down. Only time will tell.
THANK YOU for this blog. Nice topics and I'm feeling inspired.
