I agree with this, and would like to add a good choice for aperture and this the depth-of-field.

A very nice idea for a photo! Bu I would like fo follow the suggestions of placing the camera lower, and perhaps a little closer too. It might get even better?

Very nice pictures both. For the first one: what about cropping it more tightly or taking another view closer? (Maybe you did already?)

Nice view. No people, no trains - on purpose? Did you ever make a B&W version?

I agree with this. Those suggesting the eBook are probably also right. Always good to know your gear well.

A nice one. I don't really mind the blur, it could well be caused by humidity in the air

Forum: Pentax SLR Lens Discussion

What an impressive list of lenses to choose a favourite from! I have experience/ownership of only some of those mentioned, and in particular (unfortunately) DFA 21 is not included. So I can't comment on that.
But I think the whole point is in these OP's words, "with my type of photography". If e.g. short focal lengts are what you mostly need and use, DFA 150-450 for example will certainly not be your favourite. But it might be definitely the one for a wildlife photographer.
But by what criteria can we define which lens is the "best"? Image quality, versatility, size and handling, or various other parameters? Shouldn't the criteria be dependent on the type of photography or use case? And whatever the criteria is, one's favourite lens is not necessarily the same as one's "best" lens, IMHO.
No, I would not rank DFA 150-450 my own "best" lens, although it's the most expensive I have and I've used it a lot lately. A temporary favourite? Maybe, but I might change my mind as soon I switch to street photography in low-light situations. FA 31 Ltd then? Maybe, while only dreaming of DFA 50 ...

A very good choice - congratulations! I've been using DA*60-250 quite a lot since 2013. It also couples fine with HD DA 1.4x TC if you need longer reach. And I'd say the size is quite understandable concerning the specs and quality of the lens. You'lle get used to it.
