I don't know how to put it.....I want to know in general if the K-3 is better.
I think my K-5IIs is more then good enough for me.
The child in me want's the best and the latest :)
But I am curies to know what people that switched think.

Hello,
I tried to look for this but did not find much.
Are there any K-5ii/s users that switched to k-3?
I was wondering:
1. how is the IQ in JPG? compered to k-5ii/s
2. is the upgrade worth it, in general? (I know different people have different usage for the camera)
3.Or should I wait to K-3II? :)

Like new condition. No or minor sign of wear.+ original box and accessories.
3. Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC IF Macro Lens for Pentax Digital SLR
This lens is in Very good condition and have only used it a few times. The lens looks and works excellent, the glass is in perfect condition and will come with front/rear caps.
4. SMC Pentax-FA 50mm F1.7
This lens is in Very good condition. The lens looks and works excellent, the glass is in perfect condition and will come with front/rear caps.
5. Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Aspherical Fisheye Lens for Pentax
This lens is in excellent condition It is almost brand new, maybe 20 clicks on it. The lens looks and works , the glass is in perfect condition and will come with front/rear caps + original box and accessories .

Hello,
I just got the AF540 and I must say it is complicated.
Can some one point me or provide a detailed explanation to the following:
1. Put it on auto so it will work automatically?
2. how do I use it as fill flash? what is fill flash and what situation I use it and how to configure the Flash.
3.how to configure the flash when shooting evens like a club party?

Hello,
Yesterday a friend of mine asked me to take some pictures in a club.
is almost dark there.
I was using Flash (camera built in) and P mode.
I had 2 lenses 18-135 and F 28mm 2.8.
most of the pictures were out of focus, I had used the AF asist light.
The canon T2i took better and sharper pictures then me.
can you advice on how to take pictures with the K-5, on those situations.
what to do? what settings to use? what accessories to add?
I was a bit disappointed, but I am sure the K-5 can perform in this situation.

WOW, Thank you for your excellent advice.
a few more questions:
1. the 28mm is so rare and inexpensive, so I don't want to let go. I have not seen may go for sale here or on eBay, what do you say?
2. what do you say about sigma 70mm and 105mm compared to Pentax 70mm and 100mm? price and performance wise?
3. I also was thinking to buy this one Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG OS Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database to replace the 18-250?
The problem Is I cant use them all but want to keep them all, LBA problem from my part since I bought the K-5, three months ago.

I need to downsize my lens amount, I love them all.
What would you keep and why and for what purpose.

lens crack question.
I have a Pentax FA 100-300 4.7-5.8 lens.
I received it with a crack on the upper plastic ring in line with the glass. a picture is attached. and also samples from the lens.
how does this crack decrease the value of the lens?
how this crack influence the performance of the in the future?
will the crack grow?
should I keep this lens?
Can someone advise what to do?

I called Pantex and they told me, that even if it is out of stock but you can back order it. they will honor it.
as long as you back ordered it during the 30 days period. since this is the date of the order even if you get the card a few months later.
adorama had them in stock 2 weeks ago. and I back ordered it from them.
Pentax 2 Years Extended Warranty for K5/ KX/KR DSLR 80227
they have it in stock right now as it looks.

Thank you all for replying.
I am trying to decide on one all around lens, or to separate the range to a few lenses including some primes.
I have the Pentax DA18-250, F50/1.7, F35-70, soon I will receive my Sigma 24mm 2.8F AF super-wide ii.
I just heard and read very good things about the Pentax FA100-300 4.7-5.8, and I used to own the DAL55-300, which was very good IMHO. But the letter is more expensive. and since I can't buy them all ;). I am trying to have a better understanding since I am not planing to keep/buy all of them.

Hello,
I just got those 2 lenses.
1. do I have to use a lens hood? I read that i should. just rechecking.
2.what hood to buy? the original that cost about 35$ or some non brand? If you reccomend a non brand can you post a link to ebay or something like that?
