If you end up parcel-ing it out, I'm looking for a 55mm.

Teleconverters believe pictures would steal their souls. It's in pretty good shape for a no-name TC. Give the age I'd call it excellent shape.

This thing is pretty badass. I'm only letting it go because it's way too powerful for me, plus the genie that gave it to me said if I died with it in my possession I would be cursed in the afterlife.
You send me
1) a UPS label from Campbell, CA (I can give you my address if you agree to terms) for a 6"x8"x3" 1 lb box

Zeiss Distagon T* 2.8/25mm ZK.
In like-new shape. I really like the results from this lens, but have since switched over to Nikon, sorry, I couldn't wait until the Pentax full-frame came out... but someone NEEDS to be using this lens. Really great results.
I can post pics if there's interest, have other stuff going on today. Please PM me. $680 OBO.

I mostly shoot NIkon now, and the 15mm Starburst is something that I really miss.

No reason why a new, backwards compatible K-mount can't be used. Don't even need to change the number of pins.

Sincere and friendly question - why do you (seem to) compare the Pentax/Tamron lens to the Nikon lens, rather than the Tamron lens in Nikon mount?

If Pentax sells a Tamron that is more expensive than the same lens on Nikon, it... is not a compelling reason to choose Pentax over Nikon.
Better than no Tamron (or Pentax) lens at all, of course, but still not a net plus.

Depends what you're looking for.
If you're looking for compact, they're among the best in class.
If you're looking for great bokeh, they probably are the best in class.
If you're looking for sharpness, they're pretty good.
If you're looking to take pictures of test charts, they're mediocre.

It's a matter of degree, and of correct-a-bility (PF vs CA).
These days software makes even purple fringing correctable, so it's less of an issue than it was even a few years ago.
For the record the reason I hated the A*600mm was the vast, vast PF with bright backgrounds.

Pentax waited too long for me, I think. I'm on my third FF camera now. I'd like a nice Pentax but I might just keep using my Pentax lenses on a Sony.

Four years too late for me, so I can afford to wait. The only question is whether or not to sell some lenses when it comes out. ---------- Post added 10-02-15 at 11:24 AM ----------
D810 is $3k right now, although it will be less six months from now when the Pentax camera is sold.
Still, I can easily imagine an intro price of $2800-3500.

Indeed! I think Sony interface is the best, followed by Pentax, then Nikon. Never seriously used Canon, not enough to judge the interface.
Nikon's ergonomics range from great IMO (hand-hold-ability) to silly (lens release button, switching modes A/M/S).

Never used a 7100.
The D7000 was much better at AF than my K-5. The K-5 was better at all other respects.

Mirrorless doesn't seem to have any of the limitations of rangefinders.
I never used a good rangefinder though so take my comment with a grain of salt.

Don't know about the 150-450, but the other two will work with full frame.
