Any success so far? I'm thinking of buying a tablet in due time, but not until there's some software like you're planning provided for it.

DA 15mm Limited? Very little distortion and quite wide. Not the sharpest in the world fully open, but you don't need that for architecture and landscape (tripod)

I don't think composite is an option. At least I wasn't able to use composite for shooting video. It works fine with photos, but when I switched to video, I got no signal.

Ok, with an appropriate adapter for K-mount, one could put on a good old FA50 1.4 to this camera, effectively getting an equivalent of pocketable 197mm f1.4 system. "no pro camera inside" concerts, here I come :D

Has anyone found a way for the INFO monitor not to turn on when camera is turned on? It's a bit annoying ...

There's also a discussion on facebook Pentax page on the subject where support for tethered shooting in k-7 is voiced.

I shoot quite some events lately, many of them being smaller concerts. My main 'weapon of choice' is the good old FA50 1.4 set at about f2.0. But when I can't get close enough I often use old russian Jupiter 37a which is a MF 135mm f/3.5 lens. The main problem with concerts is often not there's not enough light but there is too much light of the same color. Which means you get overburned (usually) red channel, some color in green and way underexposed blue channel. So I use M mode to try to have the brightest channel properly exposed (which takes quite some luck when the light is constantly changing) and so I get mostly red (or whatever) pictures with all the details. Then you get the choice of leaving it like that, changing into BW, shifting hue to some other color or some kind of combination of the above.
I admit f3.5 on my jupiter is sometimes too slow for k10d I use, but there are many good 135mm 2.8 lenses out there (and you have a further advantage in high iso performance).

Should I be buying a film Pentax I would want it to have Hyper-Program and Hyper-Manual as K10d does. Some cameras in PZ series and MZ-S (the latter being quite expencive)
But without that requirement, I think MZ-5n is a nice choice.

Dear Pentax. Why oh why do you make waterproof body when a optional (and not all that cheap) diopter leaks every time I work in rain.

Are there any extension rings available which allow the camera to control aperture?
Cheap Chinese are totally useless with this lens since the aperture is closed by default and having no aperture ring it is impossible to open it wider. Not that many of them can be used (since the focusing distance goes close to 0 very quickly while adding the rings) but still.

Where can I get the cap????
Well... type 'camera armour' into google. Oh... they've only got them for k10/20d.
I'd say there are two ways to go: either buy k20d with grip, throw on a camera amour and 60-250 lense...
or wait for the new WHITE dual kit Pentax k-m (k2000) and get a put sticker on it .
But seriously... where can I get the cap???

Zdravo!

Are there any adaptors that would lock to the camera and could be removed together with the lense (in the same manner the k-mount lenses are)? So I could have a seperate adaptor on each lens without the need for screwing them on and off?

Well, he saw my dime ;)
Got the pdf working on my p990i gsm, but it doesn't really help me much since I'd have to scroll a lot both ways to read it. But that's the problem of my pdf reader and not the pdf book itself.
I find the book quite cool (unlike the magic lantern guide this one is actually readable...) but I must say I was a bit mad when I saw the copyright notice all over the book. Not only on screen but when printed out too. I don't really mind it but a bit of warning would be nice
The copyright notice is watermarked however and does not obstruct the reading in any way. Bought it over ebay, using paypal and I really got it quite swiftly and with no problems. Paper version would probably be too expencive because of the shipping costs and I probably wouldn't buy it (which would be quite a mistake).

I just wish Pentax'd start making film SLRs again. I'd love one as my second camera, but I'm sceptical about buying second hand.
