Widest full frame lens that can support filters?

I have used the 12-24, and I did enjoy it, but I did like the Tokina 11-16mm as well. I used the Tokina on my D800 and it has some heavy vignetting at 15mm but is usable.. Not sure at what focal length the 12-24 would be usable at on FF. I'm trying a few different DIY rear filters on my Rokinon to see how much they hurt IQ.. hope something works well enough, I won't want to use a 5"x5" or bigger filter setup.

That's exactly what I'm talking about.. magazine ad's are not the largest audience by a LONG shot.
In years past, I've seen plenty of ad's for Canon and Nikon camera's, even on TV..
If I was in marketing, I would be aggressively using YouTube, Instagram & FB ad's. Print still works, but it's audience has diminished enormously as more and more quality content webpages are available, faster internet, more user friendly devices to get you there etc.. Just makes sense to market to the largest bases possible.

I've been watching light field photography and I think it has amazing potential.. it's just the simple fact that Lytro has about 3 or 4 years more of development to bring it to fruition to actually compete.. still a nice gimmick/toy for now.
With the K-1 being closer to actual launch, things have seemed to die down on the media front when it comes to this camera.. what in the living hell does Ricoh put all the R&D and time in to a product and seemingly have a $5 marketing budget to get these camera's out there and having people lining up to grab them?

Smart marketing as Canon did back in the day to grab dominant market share.. Sydney Australia's summer Olympics came around and Canon GAVE pro photographers their new top of the line camera's and lenses to shoot with.. while Canon marketing photogs took pictures of "The Pro's use Canon".. smart marketing which bolstered their sales in a huge way.

In today's granola/backpacker/hiker/outdoors lifestyle of people who drop wads of cash at places like MEC and Outdoor outfitters and such, how hard would it be to find leading people in those types of area's and set them up with Pentax rugged weather sealed gear. It just seems that no matter what great gear Pentax has on the market, their advertisements seem to be word of mouth from users bases like these forums. I don't even have a Pentax digital in any form anymore (looking at re-aquiring a K-5 or newer) but I love their gear and wish the K-1 came out when it could have competed with my D800.. now it competes and beats the D810 IMHO, but I'm vested in glass and I do enjoy the larger (new) lens selection and higher flash sync speeds. To make my D800 compete with an D810 or K-1 I'm simply going to send it out and have it's Filters pulled.

As for the original thread topic
Jared Polin is a Nikon fanboy at heart, respects the efforts Canon is making in video and in the past year is broadening his thoughts on other gear IMHO. I watch some of this stuff because it can be entertaining while makin' dinner etc..
Always take any you tube streamer or any review site with a grain of salt..

After searching for my own Rokinon 14mm f2.8 I have found 3 square filter holders for it as well..

Haida, Lee and NiSi all make holders that will fit the Samyang/Rokinon 14mm f2.8 but the 150mmx150mm (some take 160mmx160mm) are very expensive when you look for a Big stopper/ 10 stop filter.

I would grab this lens in a heartbeat for the K-1, and just may if I choose to drop my D800 and head back to beloved Pentax gear.

I'm guessing some of these unbadged tamron designs 35mm f1.8 & 45mm f1.8)... or possibly one of them is the 85mm f1.8

Think it's time to start looking at selling off my D800 and acquired lenses.. The K-1 looks to be a slight upgrade from a D810 IMHO and at good price point! Years late, but well done.

I agree about the shots with and without the GPS unit on.. and as Mike said.. a touch of light painting can/will go a LONG way in sharpening up your details in your rocks, no matter how you choose the exposure value to use when you layer mask in in with your tracked star background.

Sometimes I wonder if Pentax's FF rumors and even that interview back in the day hinting about needing to develop a FF solution was nothing more than lip service.
Glad I have my D800 and all, but I really would be happier with a Pentax solution 36 or 24 MP range.

Nominated this as well, nicely done, I love the long exposure tidal work.
(I'm in the same boat as you.. moved from K-5 to D800, still awaiting Pentax FF).

Even though I now walk around with my D800, When ever I see a Pentax I give them credit even though many look at me lost like when I ask about any lenses, all but one have had a kit 18-55..
I still take out my Super Program with my M 50mm f1.7 though!
I miss my old 10-17mm fisheye.. might have to buy the Tokina soon.

Some cheap $7 fleabay item.. the soft corners are VERY noticeable on the heavy processed shot of her out front of the car.. the loss of detail around the picnic basket is hard to take.. and I was at f8... the lens is far better than that so I'm assuming the adapter had a little hand in this.. But my Tak can go back on my PK adapter and hang out for use on my old Super Program again.. my Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC/USD has been ordered.. let the VISA bleed..

I have only seen two pentax shooters in the past year around my area, I know of 5 locals that have Pentax camera's (population around 7,000). Wish I was still one myself, but when the ex took the K-5, and still no FF released.. I know I made the right choice... but I sure do miss the size and layout of the K-5, I just wouldn't trade my D800 for it... ever.
Some entry level shooters that are not too sure of what they want and such I talk to them about camera brands and what they need/want from the gear.. I honestly hold nothing back about trying to steer people away from Canon gear, I'm just not a fan of their convoluted menu systems and button layout.. less of a fan of their archaic sensors (keep flogging the dead horse Canon!). But I do try to push Pentax a little.. unless they know people with Nikon gear, because face it.. being able to "borrow" and try some lenses/flashes etc for free is sure hard to beat!
This is a great little bit about popularity of Pentax and it's ability, I'm sure many have seen this already..
